The Statesmen, the Holdouts and the A-holes

Since I don't do politics on Facebook (every once in a while I indulge myself by posting something and then quickly deleting it), the last year has been rough. Sitting quietly by, commenting thoughtfully on something only to delete it before it's ever read or published and basically presenting myself as a person that is unaffected by politics.

That's probably why I find myself back here. Write or explode. Gosh, it's been so long I still had Glenn Beck at the top of the links --obviously before he lost his friggn' mind...

So, in real life, I have been trying not to judge the #nevertrumpers (hereby know as #HillarysArmy) too harshly. Just three short years ago, I was a pre-hashtag NeverRomney-er. I was pissed. I was adamant. And, I wasn't a total asshole that would walk away from a chance at unseating Obama, so I put on my red big girl pants and voted for a lib in coiffed Mormon's clothing.

I'm hoping the current crop of hurt and angry Cruz supporters will do the same in November. Once some time has passed. Because, once again I reiterate, Mitt was a way worse candidate than Trump.

The good news, hearing that ALL of my personal political favs are behind Trump to defeat Hillary gave me a bit of faith in the establishment-- Cheney, Huckabee, Herman Cain (if you are not following him on Facebook, you should be! LOVE this man.), Newt Gingrich, and Rand Paul. True statesman, all.

Yes, there will be those that refrain from voting. But they'll be the same a-holes that gave us eight years of Obama. The same holdouts that stood on an imagined moral high ground that facilitated the country's moral decay with the beginnings of a far left SCOTUS. There is no reasoning with someone that doesn't possess common sense.

I don't know how many friends you will lose by supporting Trump. I know I have pi**ed-off quite a few of my former friends.

At this point, even if the witch is elected, the GoPe establishment has been put on notice, that they can't betray their base, and abuse the good conservative and moderate citizens of this once-great country without paying a steep price.

It has taken a long time to get here. This election has already won that battle. Now on to elect the Donald to the presidency.

Good to have you back!

My Facebook friends ARE THE WORST!

Your boy, ya know, the one with a jello backbone, once was a #alwayshillary.

"Hillary Clinton I think is a terrific woman," he said. "I am biased because I have known her for years. I live in New York. She lives in New York. I really like her and her husband both a lot. I think she really works hard. And I think, again, she's given an agenda, it is not all of her, but I think she really works hard and I think she does a good job. I like her."

I have very liberal friends I think are really good people, I also have a few that are hard workers--what does that mean? Does it mean I agree with them politically or that I want them to be President. Of course not.

“The World Trade Center went down during the reign of George Bush. He kept us safe? That is not safe."

"They lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction. And there were none."

"The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than America. … We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing."

Your con candidate

This should be a landslide then for Trump.

With all the liberals like rbb, and anonymous joining in praising him.

If he can put a knife through the political heart of the Clinton Corruption syndicate and the Bush dynasty, he will have done a great service for America.

"Hillary Clinton is known as a champion of women and girls, but one woman who says she was raped as a 12-year-old in Arkansas doesn’t think Hillary deserves that honor. This woman says Hillary smeared her and used dishonest tactics to successfully get her attacker off with a light sentence—even though, she claims, Clinton knew he was guilty."

“You know, it really doesn't matter what they write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”

Your man, the new gop standard bearer, champion of the people, D. Trump

To break the last 26 years of poor leadership by our Presidents, we need a different approach. Trump may not make the changes that are needed, but there is a chance. The witch or the communist will certainly exacerbate the decline of our once-great nation.

So keep pointing out his faults, we know he is not a 'nice' man, but he is far better than the leftist alternatives.

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

rbb continues to reliably blather bilge.
I have said for many years that there has NEVER been a perfect candidate for ANYONE. Regardless of one's point of view, it is always a matter of choosing among the least of evils.
Trump is not my personal first choice, but there is NO Democrat I would vote for instead. Shrillary and Slick Willie both belong in prison rather than the White House. The very idea of the Communist masquerading in old fool's clothing holding ANY public office is laughable.
For my part, I want someone who has sound national security and economic views, can come up with practical solutions to real problems and be unafraid to run rough shod over political correctness in the process. Rbb’s frivolous “arguments” do not impress me at all.

Everyone should go here, particularly those who habitually blather bilge.

You can't criticize Trump and vote for Hillary. Actually, you can't comment seriously on politics if you're voting for Hillary. It's just too hilarious.
