Quote of the Year?

Can I nominate a quote of the year in January???

“As I am constantly telling Republicans, please go on offense and stop playing defense,” Coulter said. “Instead of trying to defend yourselves from not wanting to turn over the United States Treasury to giving women free contraception, how about pointing out, you know, wonderful relations Democrats have with women. You have Bob Filner, sexual harassment; John Edwards, cheating on his cancer-stricken wife; Elliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner; and, of course, Bill Clinton; and Teddy Kennedy who has the only confirmed kill in the war on women.” -Ann Coulter, 1.27.14, Hannity

Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.

If a politician says something that pleases one person, they probably offend another, so I can understand why Republicans have been afraid to take off the gloves and make bare knuckle counter attacks on the political faction that has called itself Communist/Marxist then Progressive then Liberal and now Progressive once again (all under the Democrat umbrella).
After all, there is a small faction in the middle of the body politic that actually decides most elections.
That said, Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie come to mind as contemporary politicians who are very good at arousing the electorate. Scott Walker stuck out his chin and has won twice.
Since Mitt Romney didn’t seem to gain anything by being gentlemanly, I am hoping to see someone who is not afraid to trample the claims of the left and its media enablers in the bluntest and most sarcastic manner. I think people like and will support a strong leader.

The problem is not that the left has leaders without lots of warts and blemishes. The problem is that most of the media will not cover them.
A very outspoken opponent is one way to get the media to cover the left's disqualifications through the back door.
"WHAT!? How DARE you (fill in the blank)!?"

Cruz took a big swipe at Obama and his scandals on one of the Sunday shows, the one with Schieffer. They editted his interview to delete that, and make him look like he was stumbling and dopey responding to Schieffer's insistant questioning about whether Cruz would run for President. So, even if a Republican/Conservative/whatever does do a Hauschka and kick it thru the goalposts time after time, the coverage will be non-existant or so twisted as to be worse than useless. Well, liars gonna lie.

If I didn't hate Ann Coulter so much I might actually admit that Kennedy line was pretty good.

Jim M,
You may hate Ann Coulter. That is a little harsh for me. She is a statist republican. She is almost as much of a problem as the democrats.
We need change, not more big government, ruling class, ass wipes competing for who will win the big stakes rip-off.
But it wasn't a bad line. She is almost cute too, if you don't listen to her.
A plague on both parties. We need independent, intelligent, non-politicians running this country.
Oh well, I will protect my own, as the rest of the country goes to shit.

I will be using that quote.
