The Antichrist

I woke up at 3am to a special about the Antichrist on the History Channel. The various theologians and scientists on the show were methodically detailing the Biblical and secular end of the world prophecies that deal with the coming of the antichrist.

He will entice the world with a movie star charisma and a Humanistic message and (most importantly) will create a world government and a world currency.

No, this isn't a post about how I think Obama is the Antichrist.

But, instead it is a simple observation that none of the scientists or theologians said out loud. Doesn't it seem to be a glaring omission to discuss how the Antichrist will take over the world, yet never discuss his political ideology?

The Antichrist will not be a Libertarian. Will not be a Conservative. Won't even be a Republican. Those on the Right cherish sovereignty. Cherish separation. Have bumper sticker that say 'God Bless America," not "God Bless the Whole World." Can't stomach the UN, let alone a world government.

That would be our brethren on the other side of the aisle. These are all strictly Left Wing ideals.

Should he actually come to fruition, the Antichrist will be a liberal.

" Have bumper sticker that say 'God Bless America," not "God Bless the Whole World."

Are you against a bumper sticker that says bless the whole world?.....and you're a Christian?

That sums up your party in a nutshell.

"No, this isn't a post about how I think Obama is the Antichrist."

Riiiight.

Yes we know you can't stomach the UN, which is why/how the real Antichrist was allowed to start his illegal wars. The Antichrist is living a nice life in Texas but can't leave the US or he will be arrested.

Yes, the Antichrist Obama who wants everyone to have health care and doesn't think the wealthy should have everything is soooo evil.

Maybe you should be sleeping at 3am instead.

I don't buy any Antichrist prophesies, or any prophesies at all. Nothing is ever that obvious and people use them to frighten others and take control of things. That's how my parents ended up in a cult (the ultimate big government solution).

I am certain Obama isn't the Anti-Christ. Bush isn't either. That Dude does sorta look like Obama, though. Didn't notice it while watching the series.

Anyway, I won't tell you who the Anti-Christ is. Heh.

I don't think that 0bama is bright enough to be the Antichrist.

I just can't see Randall Flagg being reliant on a TelePrompTer...

Mao, Hilter, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc... All were leftists.

It's hard to marshal the resources to commit murder and destruction on a national scale when you don't believe in big government.

Nutters - They crack me up!

Didja all read about the self identified IRS agent who's admitted he targeted teabaggers and "patriots"?

No? Too much Pox, would be my guess.

Read about at Camp Liberty's Freedom Blog now!

Fuck the world. America first. Period. If you feel different, you should get the fuck out of this country. After all, if you like them all so much you can go live with them. Other countries are not equal to America. I don't pretend that America isn't exceptional. Not because God loves this country any more, but because WE live here. Its up to us to win the race, not help the other racers. This is why liberalism is so fucking stupid- they can't figure out even that it should be their country winning.

rbb, as usual, your post makes no sense at all. Try blogging sober.

Have you always had a problem with actual facts, Wiz?

So is that what you do over here? Troll for your idiot blog?

Well, ALa, it was the Democrat party who took God out of the platform, then booed and hissed trying to keep God from getting put back in. It was clear the overwhelming number of people didn't want it back.

It was also our president who spoke so eloquently about us "clinging to god and guns".

So it isn't a stretch to think the Antichrist would be a Democrat. Or maybe a Rino.

Hee hee. The mythical, anonymous, Republican IRS agent who uh.. targeted... the... uh... Tea Party for... reasons... that... can't... uh... quite... uh... be... explained...

Desperate and pathetic and absolutely hilarious.

But back to the Antichrist...

Anyone who wanted that much power would need to be a statist. Wouldn't it be funny if it was Lindsey Graham?

My theology takes a different view of the anti-Christ mythology.
It is not about one of political belief systems--leftist/libertarian/conservative/anarchist, it is about pathetic noncommittal ignorance.
The world will be doomed by the common man as the anti-Christ, as he blissfully follows any path that offers him some form of nirvana.
So it is not Obama, or any other similar corrupt leader that is the anti-Christ, it is that mass of men who follow him that are the embodiment of the Anti-Christ.
Anon, jim, rbb,.... welcome to the hell of your own creation. May you all live long enough to see the folly of your beliefs.

Given that I don't believe in Christ, much less the anti-Christ, I do find the theories quite interesting.

About the only way you can get people, who don't want to, to do anything willingly is to appeal to their greed. Which would mean giving them as much as possible. So, he would be a modern day American Liberal, in the fact that he would need to use the movement to further his cause. About the only thing that would stop it, would be for those who make up the bulk of the movement to say, "Um....isn't that going a little too far?" But that would require them to have boundaries, and so far, I'm not seeing that they have set any.

Yup, the wealthy have no boundaries and with your help, are destroying the planet.

rbb-why don't you post more often?

Ohhh, rbb. I see a Big Gulp in your future!

Big Gulp, howso? My spending and lifestyle habits seem to be pretty much in line with conserving and helping out the planet - as well as the non-wealthy folks. But then again, I don't think $250k is wealthy. Maybe my money goggles are skewed, but I always found half a mil+ to be a bit more towards the wealthy side. Hell, these days a mil is the bottom number of the wealth class.

What are you doing to keep money out of Soros' and Buffet's hands?

Zelda said...

Hahaha! Nothing. He probably donates to them. You know. For the poor.

Fearthuinn min an Saille said...

Yeah, to cover the tax bill for Buffet's secretary.

Hey, wait a minute. You are insulting our President and the "Preacher" Foxy Wizard said "that ain't nice"! No facts are being used. He better get over here and lay down some points! If you point out Republican insults is that an insult that you get points for?

Enemas, truth is an absolute defense, so calling you stupid cannot be an insult.

/ Hi Blonde...Saw the following on the web, sharing it. Cortney /

Obama Supports a Rapture Book !

Sixty million copies of "Left Behind" books have set new sales records. But Barack Obama quietly supports a different "Rapture" book, one that those mass-marketers hate!
As evangelicals know, the Left-Behind-promoted "Rapture to heaven" is an imminent, secret coming of Christ conveniently occurring before the approaching "Tribulation" (a.k.a. Antichrist's global reign of terror) so that "genuine" Christians will be safely in heaven before the Book of Revelation's disasters begin. And they're constantly told that their escapist "Pre-Tribulation Rapture" (hereafter: PTR) is Biblical and 2000 years old.
Aware that no official theology or organized church before 1830 had ever taught the PTR, one historian began focusing years ago on Britain and various individuals that had been suggested as possible originators of the PTR.
Unlike other prophecy researchers, he did on-site research throughout Britain and laboriously went through hard-to-locate works of all of those British writers to find out who indeed was first to use words and phrases such as "rapture," "imminent," "coming for," "coming with," "Antichrist," etc. He was shocked to discover that a young Scottish woman was the actual PTR originator in 1830, that London preacher Edward Irving obtained it from her, and that John Darby (long assumed to be the "father" of the system springing from the PTR) wasn't original on any important aspect of Bible prophecy!
Wondering how Obama is involved in all this? Not a few see him as either the Antichrist or someone who's preparing the way for that global dictator.
So in a sense Obama's anti-Christian and anti-American strategy has been giving support to the now-growing anti-PTR view - the followers of which have learned about the PTR's bizarre, 183-year-old, covered up history and are now prepping to survive during Antichrist's 3.5-year reign!
The nonfiction book Obama actually supports (without realizing it) is "The Rapture Plot" by journalist/historian Dave MacPherson. For a taste of his original research Google "Famous Rapture Watchers," "Pretrib Rapture Secrets," "Pretrib Rapture Politics," "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty" and "Scholars Weigh My Research."
Since MacPherson is into activism as much as academics, young persons (who insist on facts and not opinions) appreciate his name-naming, tell-all approach.
