Never been to Philly or any other big city run by the left for decades.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Marxocrats have control of the central cities and have been happily running both down the toilet for decades now.
I moved here in 1970. The degradation is pronounced.

Hey free/freemom - There are no McDonalds' in Detroit, are there?

Great article on top 10 impoverished cities and how long each one has been under Democratic control:

The right side sure reminds me of LA. Other than Richard Reardon for a couple years, that place has been run by Democrats forever.

That is a good article. And they are right. The politics make perfect sense, but the policies are death.

Your Country on Democrats:
California. Broke, high crime, high taxes, people fleeing like they did East Germany.
Your Country on Republicans:
Texas. Successful, low crime, no state taxes, place for the (former) East Germans to flee to.

Any Questions?

To clarify my above:
California big cities. Broke, high crime, high taxes, people fleeing like they did East Germany.
Your Country on Republicans:
Texas rural areas. Successful, low crime, no state taxes, place for the (former) East Germans to flee to.

Here is what an actual city on Democrats looks like.

Detroit hasn't elected a Republican in 50 years.

Just another liberal pipedream for
the uninformed voting masses. Nothing new here folks.

Top 10 Most Violent states

Florida
Arizona
Missouri
Texas
Arkansas
South Carolina
Mississippi

States in massive debt:

On the in state level:

Florida--Rick Scott--Republican

New Jersey--Chris Christie--Republican

All the "red states" listed above were Republican controlled at the time of mid-2012 tally.

Since Detroit was mentioned Michigan has 2/3 of its government Republican for decades. Same with pre-Jerry Brown California.

Violent crimes per 100,000 for 2010
California 440.6
Texas 450.3

Just wanted to throw in real life stats and adjust some incorrect comments above, also you shouldn't correctly compare rural areas to big cities it is not statistically valid. ~via US. census, Infoplease, CDC

Zelda said...

Aisha - You are ignoring the city data which is what is driving those stats even in red stats - ALL run by Democrats.

Also, your debt stats for Texas ignore that Texas ranks 45th in debt per capita.

Just wanted to throw in some more real life stats and adjust some of your incomplete data.

And you don't need to compare big cities to rural areas to know that they are driving out those who are successful. It's obvious.

Here are the most violent cities in this country.

All exclusively Democrat. Hell, Michael Moore's home town in NUMBER ONE.

~Yes it is population.
Any place with a lower population has less crime and less debt regardless of who is in charge.
The list of safest places is the same as the list of least populated.

I was not ignoring the cities but I see your point. Still if the governor and state level politicians are not in control then it also their failing. Also each city has counties/districts are we can break it down further but that seems futile.

Knowing the actually stats it has to do with population density all dense areas have more problems. Now why they tend to vote Democrat should be addressed by Republicans since years of Democrats does nothing to help. It is not a coincident that NYC has 20 years of a Rep. mayors and also the lowest crime rate and most on time budgets.

CrabbyOldMan said...

A very politically incorrect question:
How do the crime and debt stats correlate with the percentage of the population being minorities?

Bram said...

Aisha - "Local Government during that time" During what time?

NJ elected Christie 3 years ago to clean up the mess left by 8 years of McGreevey and Corzine.

You also conveniently forget what party has controlled our Legislature forever.

Zelda said...

Still if the governor and state level politicians are not in control then it also their failing.

They are not in control of city spending and city taxes. That is not how governments are set up. And boy do I love how you Lefties try to put all the responsibility on Republicans any way you possibly can.

Secondly, go drive through the bluest parts of any city and tell me where you see productivity and innovation. Look at Detroit. It's about to have a real reduction in crime because it's reverting back to wilderness. No one wants to live there. Not blacks, not whites, not immigrants, not anyone. There is no incentive. The taxes are too high for businesses to take root, and no one wants to live where there are no jobs. They can't even give houses away. And yet the Democrat machine rolls relentlessly on...

I was not ignoring the cities but I see your point.

You were ignoring the cities, but I'm glad you see the point.

Any place with a lower population has less crime and less debt regardless of who is in charge.

Not true at all. Small towns have just as much of a debt problem as cities - worse because they have less revenue to spend on infrastructure that might entice businesses away from the cities. But that is going to change.

Knowing the actually stats it has to do with population density all dense areas have more problems.

What??? Population density causes violence? BAN POPULATION DENSITY!!!

Now why they tend to vote Democrat should be addressed by Republicans since years of Democrats does nothing to help.

It can't be addressed by Republicans. It can only be addressed by the voters because it's a free country. And if they continue to be that stupid, there's not much that can be done except wait for them to want something different.

Now put your odd and useful love of statistics to work and find out why the cost of higher education has risen exponentially in spite of massive government subsidies.

...find out why the cost of higher education has risen exponentially in spite of massive government subsidies.

Incorrect about the "massive"
"In 1979, the maximum Federal Pell Grant award covered about three-fourths of the total cost of attending a four-year college. Today, the maximum award covers only about one third of the cost for tuition, fees, room and board." For Private school it is one-tenth. ~via clasp.org

...how you Lefties...
~Proud to say never voted once Democrat in my whole life.

One last quote as lots of hyperbole and threats of real life violence has lead me to stop visiting and report certain people on this blog.

"Don't Blame Groups of People

If you find yourself saying things like "all [insert adjective here] people are no good," then you're probably denying your role in a situation. It's highly unlikely that everyone else in the world is colluding against you so you're probably doing something to contribute to the negative outcome you're whining about. Take note whenever you use superlatives (e.g. 'always', 'never', 'every', 'nobody', etc.) to describe what you think is the cause of your dilemma because it's probably those occasions that you need to take inventory of YOUR behaviors... after all, the one common thread in all of your dilemmas is YOU.
Consult Different Thinkers

Keep someone who thinks very differently from you available. People are likely to surround themselves with like-minded people so if you're denying something, your like-minded friends may just reinforce your denial because they may see things the same way you do. Having someone who challenges your opinions and assumptions can do wonders for learning what questions you have to ask yourself about a given situation because they are probably going to question why you feel the way you do. In other words, if you're a liberal-leaning person then it may be a good idea to keep your conservative uncle on speed dial." ~via R. Gil

Good luck ALa sorry if you get questioned in the next few days or this blog is monitored.

Zelda said...

Incorrect about the "massive"

No, dear. You are incorrect about subsidies. The government now gives loans too with very favorable repayment options/interest rates. Yet we have to borrow increasingly more to cover the cost of education with a rapidly diminishing return. I guess it was too much to expect you'd think outside the narrow Lefty mindset that all subsidies are free.

Also, you didn't even hypothesize an answer to the question.

Proud to say never voted once Democrat in my whole life.

I didn't say you were a Democrat. I said you were a Lefty. Kind of like Nixon. Statistics will not be of much use to you because you have a very narrow minded way of thinking and unexplored variables seem to derail you.

Zelda:
I buy into the proposition that the thought process involves both what is sometimes called the "intuitive" or the "artistic" working simultaneously in tandem with what is sometimes called the "rational" or "logical". That is, the right and left hemispheres need to work together equally for optimal results. However, most people use one side more than the other to varying degrees.
It is my impression that Aisha is either in the math-heavy camp or is pulling our legs.
I once worked for a very intelligent person who was very mathematically oriented. His rigidity of thought occasionally produced some very bizarre and very bad decisions.
I'm still trying to decide what Aisha ment by "Good luck ALa sorry if you get questioned in the next few days or this blog is monitored."

You'll notice that on the right, there are few people out and about during the day. This is because they have JOBS. There are more people out and about on the left because they don't have jobs to go to.

Employment under Democrats isn't a sure thing. Unfortunately, under THIS Democrat, unemployment seems to be a sure thing.
