The Cracks Are Beginning To Show
John Boehner and his crew are starting to crack down on the Tea Party true believers. Could it be the folks in charge of the GOP have decided extremism hurt them in the last election?
Tax Payer Malpractice
Wonder why the government has to spend so much on health care? The policies of companies like Wal-Mart have a lot to do with it.

Clean the wax out of your ears for Christ's sake!
What have knowledgeable people been saying for the past several years?
If you really are this clueless, you may want to consider voluntary sterilization. I doubt Obamacare will pick up the tab though. The Marxocrats want more idiot voters.
Add to that stupid sign: "another example of people in a democracy voting with their pocket books".
Who in their right mind would pay higher prices so that the union leaders, the Marxocrat party and the Mafia can all get their cut?
Dolt!
So Walmart decides that the massive increases in health costs under Obamacare are not to their liking, and they choose to follow Obamacare's prescription to have workers go onto Medicare or Obamacare. Just like we have been warning for quite some time, Jim. You cannot actually think that people or companies will just sit and let themselves be treated like a gumball machine for the government, do you? The left seems to think that everyone's nature is to roll over and take it up the ass "for the common good (as defined by a stiniking cess pool of statist snots)."
Well, this is why we will eventually end up with a government option. Six people named Walton have the same amount of money as the bottom thirty percent of the nation's population and they're too fucking cheap to help make sure their workers have healthcare paid for by the company. I hope they burn in Hell.
Oops, forgot my documentation...
http://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2011/12/14/six-waltons-have-more-wealth-than-the-bottom-30-of-americans/
Of course Jim, The Waltons should give ALL their fucking money to someone else right? Thats what idiot fucknut libs like you really want.
Again. Go fuck yourself.
Ahhh, Jackoff20...I never tire of hearing you bang that stick against your cage bars while screaming. I need to remind your keeper not to feed you any more mangoes, however. The verbal diarrhea you emit is really quite disgusting.
Malarkey:
Why do you think the bottom thirty percent have so little money?
How much of YOUR money are you willing to give the Walmart employees?
What sort of employment do you think the Walmart employees would have if there were no Walmart?
By the way, the figure that actually matters is what percentage of the NATIONAL INCOME each has. Do you know what it is?
Are you and Enemas friends?
How times have changed. In the 60s the Tea Party beliefs would have been viewed as centrist and moderate.
The current democratic party would have been viewed as 'wild-eyed leftist loons' and communists.
I do hope that Jim M. lives long enough to regret his current clueless naiveté. His party and his dogma will destroy any real hope for a continuance of this ‘Land of the Free” and the economic power house that America was in the last half of the 20th century.
Re: WalMart
My little town has only recently became home to a WalMart. I talk with some of my friends who work there. It is amazing how many of them now own MalMart stock.
They would like higher wages, (wouldn't we all?) but also see the benefit of becoming an 'owner' in the business.
Your hatred and envy will consume you, Jim. You can never make things equal. Ever. The more power you give government to make things "equal" the more unequal they will become until you have the elite, all-powerful government class and everyone else.
Malarkey:
The Walton family owns 48% of the stock. The public owns the rest.
Didn't you inherit $700,000 worth of property, Jim? Have you given YOUR fair share?
Actually, the property was sold for 350,000 and I got half of that. My wife and I donate lots of money to charity.
Anonymous, it would be great if you could stop being such a pussy and show your identity. I promise not to come to your house and kick your ass.
Zelda- I'm not saying the workers should be "equal" with the Waltons. It might just be nice if the workers could take their sick kid to the doctor if necessary.
I've noticed a lot of Tea Party folks talk about restoring the country back to the way it used to be...what they're really sentimental for (and don't realize it) is an era when companies cared about their employees and the CEOs weren't competing to see who could maintain the most obscene executive to employee pay ratio.
Jim, they can always take their sick kids to see a doctor, but what you want is somebody else to pay for it. And maybe WalMart would offer insurance if it wasn't so cost-prohibitive. Of course, you won't be honest enough to ask yourself why that's not possible as your party demands coverage for everything under the fucking sun and the paperwork to go with it. The lack of clarity by the left to see that kind of shit is absolutely stunning. It's enough to make me think nobody can be that stupid, so it must be on purpose to completely destroy the system.
And why do lefties hate WalMart so much, who do you think benefits from their services and low prices (besides the Walton clan).
Yes the cracks are beginning to show. Ever notice that conservative Republicans win (Reagan, '94 Congress, 2010 Tea Party) and moderates lose (HW Bush, Dole, McCain, Romney)?
I've know it, but Boner is too stupid. We are about to see the GOP tear itself apart. Hopefully a real Conservative Party, maybe allied with the Libertarians will replace it.
Jim,
You aren't a very curious guy, are you? Ever wonder how we ended up in this healthcare mess?
People used to choose in the free market to either buy health insurance, or just pay doctors as they went. Then income and payroll taxes under FDR got crazy and employers looked for untaxed ways to compensate workers - and began subsidizing insurance. Now ingrates like you just expect it.
The government (every state and the Feds) went bonkers regulating health insurance (I've seen it first-hand) making it too expensive. The campaign to kill health insurance is just about complete - Obamacare should finish it off shortly.
Wal-Mart, like most employers, offers insurance benefits to their employees. They don't give it away, but why should they? The company's first duty is to its shareholders, and if the Board decided to give more to the workers than needed to attract qualified people, I'd vote to remove them for wasting my money.
Bram, a big reason healthcare used to be a lot cheaper was because it was way less effective. New more expensive medications and machines have greatly increased both our chances of survival and the cost of treatment.
But the reason we have new medications and machines is because there is a profit in it. All that research is not cheap. If you destroy the profit motive, you can say goodbye to innovative medical technology and hello to Ye Old Fashioned Rectal Thermometers. It won't matter what insurance you have.
I don't mind pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and doctors making lots of money. But right now a huge chunk of the cash flow is being siphoned off by insurance companies. And they don't cure anybody of anything.
Funny thing is, the more rules and taxes dems come up with- they'll just leave and take the wealth with them. Bye bye. Then boomers like jim will be the one percent with their once middle class incomes now defined as "rich"
Ill laugh when our ignorant entitlement class eat him next.
I belonged to FOUR UNIONS and each one was so corrupt, one place tried to kill me and another because we were working to fast and they didn't want their danger pay, extra height pay and double time. I was told 'cool you heals, this is a good paying job".
Ever wonder WHY (at least in Ohio) road construction doesn't start when the weather is good? Well, the unions, heavy equipment, labor, cement finishers all of them have the State in their control. When construction shuts down the workers take a 7 month vacation and they ONLY HAVE TO CALL THEIR UNION SHOP FOR A JOB. Heaven forbid they actually have to work outside their hall~! So, when there's time to remove the surface and do preparatory work on the roads so they can start pouring in May instead of tying up the roads for the entire summer, they would rather stay in Florida. My hall steward would call and ask how much unemployment I had left and would call someone else back who was running out; made no difference concerning qualifications.
This House Speaker is the weakest in momory. The last speaker strode through DC with a hammer (giant gavel) in her hand and Bohners claim to fame is he cries a lot. With a match up like that what kind of outcome do you expect?
Jim - I worked for an insurance company that got out of the health insurance business. We had entire floors of lawyers, clerks, and IT programmers who did nothing except try to keep up with regulations.
A huge amount of the cost of insurance is the expensive of complying with the states and federal government.
is what free-market healthcare (which has never existed in my lifetime) would look like.
Here = http://reason.com/reasontv/2012/11/15/the-obamacare-revolt-oklahoma-doctors-fi
Malarkey:
Just how much DO you give to charity?
Is it FAIR for you to have (gasp) INHERITED money?
Do you work for the government?
Why do YOU think that insurance takes such a big cut of the health care dollar?
Plus, health care costs go through the roof because everyone gets to subsidize what the government mandates (Medicare/Medicaid floor payments), and the cost of people, especially illegals, who use the emergency room as general care, etc. Death by a thousand cuts.
Oh, and I love the "TEA party as extremists" meme: this coming from the party that nominated the most far-left senator to become president. Really what're the ideological differences between the socialist party and the modern democrat party. I'll bet it's virtually indistinguishable.
Awwww Jim, getting too hot in here for you to handle?
I have the perfect picture of you in my mind: Hippy Boomer with long greasy ass grey hair tied back in that greasy hippy look, smoking pot all day off the money you inherited.
Have you ever worked a day in your life Jim? And if by some miracle you have, did you ever keep a job more than 2 years? I ask this because you so obviously have no fucking idea how things work. No idea.
You are whats wrong with this country Jim. You. And all your free-loading boomer assclown friends.
So take your lib guilt and shove it very very far up your ass.
And by the way, keep crying. I live off your tears.
Actually, Jackoff20, I worked at a telecommunications company for 30 years and retired a year ago last October. But that was a really good guess on your part.
My hair is still brown (but my beard is salt and pepper). I wear it short and I absolutely hate that greasy ponytail look.
Hey, I'm the one who's agreed to let Ala put my posts on here. And I'm the one who's quite comfortable taking on this horde of rabid conservatives. So Jackoff, please feel free to kiss my handsome progressive ass.
Jim all you do is regurgitate the standard DNC talking points and fail miserably at trying to defend them.
Your posts are inane at best. Most of them are so completely devoid of actual facts that its hard to say that they were written by an actual human being.
You were at the same company for 30 years? Let me guess, you were union right? You're the guy that management shuffled from dept. to dept. because you were so inept but they couldn't fire you because of your union. Plus no one really could stand talking to you for more than 2 minutes at a time. So what was it that got you retired Jim? A leach like you certainly didnt go out on his own.
don't mind pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and doctors making lots of money. But right now a huge chunk of the cash flow is being siphoned off by insurance companies. And they don't cure anybody of anything.
Ok. Prepare for a rant because you don't know how accidentally right you are. And yet Obamacare forces us to buy their already exorbitant - and largely unnecessary - product. So what we are currently faced with is the further cementing of an unholy alliance between a bloated, corrupt industry and a bloated, corrupt government.
Now I can just hear you insisting that all this unpopular upheaval is going to lead to the blissful single payer (code for socialized) system. If that is what you truly believe, I would ask you to stop for just a minute and reflect on the other things we have socialized in this country. Ask yourself honestly if this is really what you want to do to healthcare.
You want to know why there are no innovations in education? Because there is no money in it. You want to know why the elderly are having trouble finding doctors? Because there is no money in it. The only way to earn money in any socialized aspect of our economy is to figure out how to get it from the government, which is, itself, a full-time job. And that is money NOT being spent on research or upgrading technology.
And of course the counter argument is that other countries have socialized medicine. Yes. Yes, they do. And they pay for it. They pay in taxes. They pay in much higher prices for goods and services. They pay in higher wait times for simple diagnostic testing. And they have to rely on the U.S. for almost all medical innovation.
So now it's time for the standard whine about greed even though no one has forced you to work for less than your time was worth. Why are doctors different from union factory workers? The Left fights like maniacs for them, but for the people in charge of their health and even lives? Not so much.
But of course, all this assumes our honest and transparent government has any desire to sever the mutually beneficial relationship with the insurance industry. I can assure you, they don't. So the upcoming financial and medical disaster that is Obamacare is coming. Embrace the suck.
Hey Jim,
Have fun waiting 3 weeks to get in to see your doc.
Hope you're not dying.
But hey, you can always do like all other people in countries who have 'socialized' medicine who really need help do:
They go elsewhere and pay for it. Themselves. Enjoy!
Jim,
As someone who works in healthcare why should I have to pay for someone else's bad behavior? I am tired of seeing people come in with chest pain from too much cocaine and stomach's that hurt because they drink too much. Or my favorite drug seeking idiots with vague back and flank pain. Do you have any idea how much it costs to work up these parasites? All on the taxpayer dime. What happened to personal responsibility?
Before you take a shot at me for being cold hearted and wanting people to die, that's not it. How about if you don't pay taxes you don't get to vote? Representation without taxation is now at 47% and rising. I'm growing weary of people voting to pick my pocket any further.
I am getting a clearer picture of Malarkey and why he has the irrational world view that he does.
Geez, Jackoff, you just keep digging that whole deeper and deeper.
I was a proud union member. I worked in small business accounts for the first 16 years and then Federal Government accounts the final 14. I was the assigned rep for the DOJ, DOE, Congress and Homeland Security offices in 14 states. Gee, does it sound like they would give that amount of responsility to a lazy fuckup?
I voluntarily retired because I wanted to spend more time with my grandson and do some writing. I have two books for sale on Amazon...Nothing Happens For a Reason and We All Have Our Heaven.
Wow, I feel like I'm on that old t.v. show This Is Your Life.
Jim, how do you not see the problems caused by the federal bureaucracy? How are you so blind to corruption by all entities at the expense of the taxpayer? I can only guess it's because you're personally invested. You just glided off to early retirement, patting yourself on the back. No skin off you nose.
"Gee, does it sound like they would give that amount of responsility to a lazy fuckup?"
They may have wanted to pair you up with the federal government lazy fuck-ups, Jim (not slamming you, just sayin'). The government did give us the Peter Principle, don't forget.
No, Zelda, I'm not personally invested in any way.
Here's a question...all these democratic countries have government run health care. Why haven't any thrown it out and gone to the kind of system we're currently enjoying?
Because they don't know it's possible. That's the problem with government programs. They're entrenched so quickly and people become dependent on them and can't conceive of a different, better way. It's what you see in the ghettos here. People so afraid of losing their safety net that they can't break free of the poverty that ensures the safety net's existence. And then you have politicians taking advantage it like vultures. They are the true vampires. They invest in fear and poverty.
You're comparing middle and upper class Brits,Scandanavians, Germans, Canadians, Australians and all the rest to our poor who live in ghettos? Give me a break, Zelda. You're ignorance of other countries and cultures can't really be that profound.
@ Anonymous 2:23 PM
So you support the republican originated concept of the individual mandate, then? President Obama likes that gop idea. Why have republicans (like you?) turned against their own idea?
Oh, did you see where the republicans filibuster their own proposal the other day after the Leader called their bluff?
Malarkey, "I was a proud union member" explains a lot.
"Here's a question...all these democratic countries have government run health care. Why haven't any thrown it out and gone to the kind of system we're currently enjoying?"
They are not given the option. They governments own, run, and profit from it.
It should also be noted that these governments are not democracies.
"You're comparing middle and upper class Brits,Scandanavians, Germans, Canadians, Australians and all the rest to our poor who live in ghettos? Give me a break, Zelda. You're ignorance of other countries and cultures can't really be that profound."
The middle and upper class Europeans can afford independent heath insurance and private doctors. If they can’t find what they need there…. The truly rich can afford come here where they can find what they need.
Jim M.
"I'm not personally invested in any way."
You are so full of shit, Jim!
Almost everything you say is said from a personal investment superceding logic.
You don't discuss, you attack.
You can't think clearly on any political subject because you are damned invested in an idiotic dogma that cannot stand up to close examination.
I was referring to actual financial investment.
Marlarkey:
I would avoid the use of "profound ignorence" if I were you.
People will think you are talking about yourself again.
Zelda runs circles around you.
Jim
If you are not invested in any retirement monies, you aren’t getting any! That's great.
therefore you retired without any retirement monies coming from your employer.
I stand corrected. You are entirely living off of your other accumulated assets. So I am even more surprised that you are not more conservative in your thinking.
Crabby, I find it hilariously ironic you misspelled ignorance.
Haverwilde- I worked for a company, not the Federal government. I do get a pension. I apologize if there's some point I'm not getting here.
Jim you said:
“I apologize if there's some point I'm not getting here.”
You worked for a private company on GOVERNMENT issues. You were rewarded for it by salary, benefits, and retirement—IT IS CALLED BEING INVESTED!
You complain about insurance companies making money off of health care, but it is all right obviously if now, millions of middle management people get hired to oversee health care issues (at a cost far exceeding the health care profits of the insurance companies). And all the while these bureaucrats will be making health care decisions that used to be made by the individual and his personal physician.
It is dogma of rationality.
It is emotion over reason.
It statism over freedom.
It is the penultimate triumph of mindless leftism over American freedom.
The ultimate triumph will be the destruction of the American Economic engine.
We are already at ‘Great Depression’ levels of unemployed. The bread and circuses have triumphed over our future.
I only hope that you get to live long enough to ‘enjoy’ the destruction you and your ilk have perpetrated on this once great nation.
Malarkey:
You are absolutely right that my misspelling ignorance was hilariously ironic, particularly in the context. This is one of the very few times I agree with you.
Perhaps we should focus on matters of more substance than typos, like why is it that you and your ilk have this pathological hatred of "the rich".
How much of a tax did you pay on the inheritance you did nothing to earn? You realize that to a lot of people, that was an enormous amount. Wouldn't it have been fairer for the government to have confiscated it to redistribute?
Are you going to ignore this question like you have all the others?
Nobody wants the Walton's fabulous riches redistributed to lazy moochers.
Their piles of money came from their import of Chinese goods and paying low wages that costs Medicaid dollars.
WalMart is Reagan's welfare queen. We subsidized Walmarts fortune, while conservatives see "freedom and capitalism" as the source of their wealth.
Bob:
Can you explain to an ignorant old clod just how Wal-Mart has been/is being subsidized?
Do you think there is any benefit of having cheaper goods available, particularly to the lower income people?
Do you think the country would be better off if Wal-Mart suddenly went away?
Do you think that the non-Waltons, who own the other half of the Wal-Mart stock, have benefited?
"WalMart is Reagan's welfare queen. We subsidized Walmarts fortune"
Care to cite specifics, or do you wish to just smear and run!
Haverwilde:
Do you think Bob will answer either of us?
Have you noticed that Malarkey never answers any substantive questions either?
Hey Crabby,
No I don't expect either one to enter into an intelligent discussion with specifics. It doesn’t fit the leftist modus operandi. They just wish to smear without any data; just like a bunch of monkeys throwing their shit at people.
Unfortunately the attack, attack, attack, with the big lies and the little lies works on half of our population.
Haverwilde,
I think the root of the matter is what I said a day or so ago. Both are like an old fashioned player piano. The sound imitates human music, but the source is a roll of paper with holes punched into it. There is no possible deviation and no real thought process at all.
Wal Mart employees are a big group of Medicaid customers.
Always low wages Always puts employees in a bind where they depend on Public aid for healthcare.
If the Walton's shared a fraction of their wealth, the employees who made that money for them would not need Medicaid.
But sInce they dont, Walmart is a welfare queen.
Or you could do a google search "WalMart welfare queen"
Walmart is a welfare queen
Only if they are receiving 'redistributed' wealth. Being allowed to keep their own wealth is the exact opposite of 'welfare queen'. Not 'sharing' what they have legitimately earned has nothing to do with welfare.
What type of a mindset does it take to care what other people do with their own wealth, yet care not a whit for what others do with your wealth?
Bob Loblaw's union told him we subsidize WalMart so don't bother with facts and logic.
Why doesn't Bob think we should all share in HIS wealth? Well, THATS different.
"Wal Mart employees are a big group of Medicaid customers.
Always low wages Always puts employees in a bind where they depend on Public aid for healthcare." So that is what passes for logic with the mentally challenged left--but I repeat myself.
[WalMart is also the biggest 'god send' to medicade customers because the prices are low.]
The answer by your logic would be to prohibit entry level jobs, because those jobs may need welfare assistance.
Are you really that CLUELESS! Forget what I said about being mentally challenged. You're not even that bright!
You're comparing middle and upper class Brits,Scandanavians, Germans, Canadians, Australians and all the rest to our poor who live in ghettos?
If they have no private insurance or cash option, then yes. Canada is the main example. 9 months for a colonoscopy or lab work? That's unacceptable if you want to treat colon cancer or any other kind of cancer early. When you put yourself at the mercy of a giant bureaucracy for your healthcare, it is going to suck. And you only find that out when you need it most. There are plenty of things we can learn from Europeans in terms of lifestyle and eating habits, but we do not want their healthcare system.
Of course you were a proud union member Jim. Of course you were.
Whats so histarical is that You are the epitome of the Liberal Useful Idiot and you don't even have a clue.
You complain and rail against the very entity that enabled you to... 'retire' (yeah right Jim, thats bullshit, you were 'retired') early. You ungrateful fuck Jim. The govt, should rape you of all the money it enabled you to earn. Hell I dont care if its Barry or someone else. Tax the fuck out of you Jim until you bleed dry and have to go back to work shoveling shit or handing out carts at the local walmart. It's what you want for everyone esle, so why shouldn't you bear the same burden Jim?
Hypocrite much you useless tool?
Malarkey has told us he worked for the phone company. I happen to know that the (regulated) phone companies and their (proud) employee unions loaded up on retirement and other fringe benefits because it was much easier politically to get those approved by the public utilities commissions than higher (taxable) salaries would have been.
One of the retirement fringes is continuing super outstanding medical benefits. Since Malarkey probably has such pension and medical benefits, it is understandable that the prospect of Obama care for everyone else is not upsetting. Also, he would be much more insulated from Social Security concerns than the rest of us because of a pension generous enough for him to retire early. And then, of course, there is his (gasp!) (untaxed?) inheritance. In a word, he can afford to feel better by supporting socialism for everyone else.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR THAT MALARKEY HAS BETTER RETIREMENT BENEFITS THAN EVERYONE ELSE! THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAX THOSE BENEFITS IN THE SAME MANNER THAT IT IS GOING TO TAX THE REST OF THE RICH! SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR ALL! NO ONE SHOULD INHERIT ANYTHING!
Absolutely right, Crabby. Jim needs to go on Obamacare like everyone else.
Hey Jim, give us your money you greedy heartless fucker!!! NOW!!!
