I've heard conservative pundits say Romney has pull in New Hampshire because his family has a vacation home there. They say he has pull in Michigan because he was born and raised there. Oddly, you don't hear about him having any pull in Massachusetts...in fact, he's behind in that state by 32 points or so. So, I have to ask: have all the people who lived there when he was governor died or moved away? Or did he do a lousy job and everybody was glad to see him leave office?

A lot have moved away. Young people are the state's biggest export. I grew up in MA and left for good in 1991. Too expensive, too few jobs, too many gun laws, and too many liberals.
I still visit family there, but I will never, ever, be a MA resident again. Even if I had to work there, I would live in NH and commute.
Mitt and Massachusetts? What about the job Obama has done for the ENTIRE country?
Noteable how a state can vote for two different executive positions, president and governor, but thn from two different parties.
No doubt who gets Washington State's electoral votes for Prez, but Republican Rob McKenna has a VERY good shot at defeating a very capable Democratic opponent.

MA voters had a thing going for a lot of elections where they would vote their liberal hearts for State Reps and Senators. Then they would realize what a bunch of corrupt morons they had elected and vote in a responsible adult Republican Governor to keep things somewhat under control.
Bill Weld, then Mitt Romney filled that role. A Republican would have won the last election there if not for a third party candidate.
