Consequences

Elections have 'em. From a local gunshop by e-mail today:

Hi XYZ Fans,

Sales of AR-15 rifles have skyrocketed since the recent election. We are expecting a shortage of these rifles, as well as high-capacity magazines, ammunition, and related items.

We currently have a good supply of AR-15s, including your favorite brands, such as Colt, Bushmaster, Rock River, and DPMS. However, our inventory is being depleted quickly, so if you have been thinking about purchasing an AR-15 you may want to do it now while we still have a good selection.

These are the rifles that we have in stock at 6:00PM on Saturday, November 10:

·  Colt LE6920
·  Colt 6920 Magpul Edition
·  Bushmaster M4A3
·  Bushmaster A1 Carbine
·  Rock River Elite Carbine
·  Rock River Tactical Carbine
·  DPMS A2 AP4
·  DPMS M4 Recon Rifle

Please visit a location nearest to you.

And in the news:

Teco Coal officials announce layoffs

And it is just starting. When Obamacare denies procedures, which they will as every government bureaucracy has a budget they must keep and if your need pushed that budget, well, tough; when "your fair share" increases; when the Administrators of society decide that you have to "give back" even more of your money, time, and soul, well, own it, idiots. We'll be woring to restore the American Republic, and we might, maybe, letyou come along, too.

Both houses of the Minnesota Legislature are back in Democrat hands. The local Democrat rag says the new legislature plans to put statewide tax hikes back on the table, roll out new capital improvement projects and approve employee contracts, all rejected by the GOP."
Translation: Pay off the public employee unions ones via "employee contracts" and the building trades unions via "capital improvement projects". Left unsaid is “and then go back to squandering what is left of the state’s wealth on assorted useless endeavors favored by various Democrat constituencies.
It will be interesting to see how many more jobs leave the state as a result.
My own position is that the Republicans should continue to support the Republican agenda by fighting any Democrat legislation the Republicans dislike.
The Democrats and the local rag are talking “compromise” rather than “gridlock”.
Since the job of the Republicans is to oppose the Democrat agenda, I strongly favor the gridlock. Ditto at the Federal level.

Doesn't everyone own an AR-15 yet? If not, lock it in. Lots of ammo.

Sorry, but an AK is still the best battle rifle.

Anon, we will likely find, when we collect your AK from where you are laying face down in the mud, that a quick rinse in a muddy puddle is all we need to get it firing. Good for those up close fights. As is the AR. Not so good with the distance issue, unlike the AR.

Barack Obama is the best gun salesman in America.

As for layoffs, well... elections do have consequences. Like the 2011 primaries did. Enjoy.

I would never spend a dollar on an AR. My M16A2 was a piece of shit that jammed whenever sand was even close. The AK is a peasant's weapon from 60 years ago.

Sig and HK make very good stuff that's too expensive. I always wanted a Steyr AUG since I got to play with one once. When I have the cash (probably never) I will get an MSAR STG-E4 MSAR STG-E4 with a 20" barrel.

As for the non-gun economy - yes it is going to suck very hard for a long time.

That fiscal cliff thing isn't even the main issue. The EPA has some real killer regulations in the pipeline and the Dodd-Frank law is being turned into fully weaponized regulations.

Welcome to 1937. This is gonna hurt.

And just think, if the Republic had gotten in, 4 years of Mitt shipping jobs to China this list would be ten times as long.

What is it with red necks and guns? I don't get it.

Obamacare denying procedures? We already have that with the death panel insurance companies. That's why Mitt Romney and Obama came up with these plans....

Who said anything about rednecks? Ain't nothin red about my neck, but I've got enough firepower available to defend myself for quite a while.

Really, did an insurance company ever tell anyone - anyone - that they couldn't have a procedure? Sure they didn't...they may have said they wouldn't pay for it, but they don't have the power to tell someone they can't have it. Unfortunately, I'm sure the federal government will try to figure out some way altogether to make sure you don't get it. And hopefully it's you or one of yours that doesn't get the much needed treatment. And last I checked anony, Mitt was the only one in the race not kissing China's ass, and we've already seen Obama sending taxpayer dollars overseas to increase their employment, so you may want to kill that meme, or just keep looking like a moron.

Hoss, Mitt LOVES China, that's where he sets up shop,he can't get enough of lose low wages.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Please go find a very tall building to walk off of.

AK as the best battlefield rifle? you are off your rockers. That's kind of like saying a honda civic is the greatest race car because it lasts forever.

If you are completely incompetent and refuse to clean and maintain your AR, then sure go get an AK and maybe your dirty piece of shit will shoot but I'll pop your ass in the chest all day at 400 yards while your bullets are flying 10 feet over my head.

First of all an AK is an assault rifle not a battle rifle, of which the FAL, M-14, and M1 come to mind.

I love people who think they know what they are talking about because they play Call of Duty...

As for the AK, it is a lot more accurate than people give it credit for just like the AR platform is a lot more reliable than people give it credit for.

Hoss is right about insurance companies not being able to deny you a procedure. Further you have 180 ays to object to a denial. The problem is in getting the medical provider to tell you what you NEED instead of what they THINK is covered. I had quite a battle with Beaumont Hospital over that one. They did not ASK me if I would pay for the treatment myself! As it turned out ok I left it at a formal (not legal) complaint requesting that some heads roll.....and the good news is gun stores are hiring...& SMith & Wesson stock is WAY up.
