It's funny how the president can make logical statements about what he's done for women and it helps a bit. But then Mitt makes the binder gaffe and it helps the president immensely. My wife was at a work function and that's all the vast majority of women there could talk about.
True, it wasn't really a gaffe. But for some reason a lot of women seem offended by it, almost like he's putting women (over half the country's population)into some weird category like left handed blind harp players or Albanian rodeo clowns.
1. Who hires more women? That would be Romney, so Obama is full of shit.
2. Anyone who would think Romney was comparing women to left handed blind harp players or Albanian rodeo clowns was never going to vote for him anyway.
The left is all about "coolness", trendiness and herd behaviour. The right is about facts and logic and consistency. Is there anyone who can explain to me how "binders" could possibly have "offended" anyone, even the leftards?
@ COM: No one can answer...even some of the "offended women" that appeared on the news today couldn't articulate why they were offended. It "was a weird feeling." WHAT?! WTF does that mean...maybe the weird feeling is your candidate dropping lower in the electorate's regard...
The Lilly Ledbetter law is horseshit. There is no real way to enforce that when most jobs have a sliding salary scale. Those who've been doing the job the longest, and the longest with the company tend to make more than those who just came in and/or just started in the field. If women wanted to force more equality, they'd look at the salary statistics before signing a contract and would negotiate for a higher salary. That's the only real reason there's a wage discrepancy.

If the right does it, it is evil. If the left does it, well, who cares? Again, simple truths for simple minds.
There oughtta be a law!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me how that was a gaffe?!???
If the binder full of women "gaffe" is all the left has for ammo then come November 6th they are absolutely SO f@cked!

This is desperation at it's funniest.
Because feeling offended is SO much worse than being unemployed/underemployed.....

Herd behavior? Isn't that what Limbaugh promotes with the whole "dittohead" meme?

I am a woman. I do not get it that the binders are offensive. Ala is right - that ANY women would lend any credence to this is embarrasing.
Would "file folders filled with resumes for outstanding women
applicants" have made a difference
to the spin masters? I doubt it.

Interesting, indeed.
