How about this...to help iron out 'economic equality' and fund all the government entitlements that the unions seems so gung-ho to support...here's a modest proposal:
"A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been sentenced to two years in prison for improperly lifting the arms of a 15-year-old drug smuggling suspect while handcuffed — in what the Justice Department called a deprivation of the teenager’s constitutional right to be free from the use of unreasonable force.
Agent Jesus E. Diaz Jr. was named in a November 2009 federal grand jury indictment with deprivation of rights under color of law during an October 2008 arrest near the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass, Texas, in response to a report that illegal immigrants had crossed the river with bundles of drugs.
In a prosecution sought by the Mexican government and obtained after the suspected smuggler was given immunity to testify against the agent, Diaz was sentenced last week by U.S. District Judge Alia Moses Ludlum in San Antonio. The Mexican consulate in Eagle Pass had filed a formal written complaint just hours after the arrest, alleging that the teenager had been beaten.
Defense attorneys argued that there were no injuries or bruises on the suspected smuggler’s lower arms where the handcuffs had been placed nor any bruising resulting from an alleged knee on his back. Photos showed the only marks on his body came from the straps of the pack he carried containing the suspected drugs, they said.
Border Patrol agents found more than 150 pounds of marijuana at the arrest site." (Read the whole story)

Imam Anjem Choudar claims that many Muslims are having 10 or 12 children per family. He has said the swollen Muslim population would be enough to conquer Britain from inside. He added: “We do not integrate into Christianity. We will ensure that one day you will integrate into the Sharia Islamic law.”

Was in a debate today (in real life for once) about the necessity of the Electoral College.

"Huntsman has been described by the Huffington Post as "a conservative technocrat-optimist with moderate positions who was willing to work substantively with President Barack Obama" and identifies himself as a center-right conservative." (source)
...And the sad thing is that I was more excited to see that someone was surpassing Romney than I was to see someone beating Obama."The 65-year-old political neophyte is now in a dead heat with Mitt Romney for the GOP nomination, a new CNN poll found.
And a Rasmussen Reports poll out Monday shows Cain narrowly ahead of President Obama in a head-to-head matchup, 43% to 41%.
Despite his poll standing, few voters know much about him - and his rise is seen by political pros as a sign of dissatisfaction with the other candidates among GOP voters.
The debate tonight marks a chance for Cain to define himself - or risk letting a foe do it for him." (source)

"How about occupying a PURPOSE. All of this is a ridiculous joke. If you have a problem being the "1%" then get your ass back to school and get an education so you can grow the 1% to 2% and so on an so forth. NO ONE is keeping "you" down except yourselves. Absurd, useless, pointless and completely a waste of time. It's just an absolute testament to the ridiculous SELF ENTITLEMENT senselessness of this country. Even at 1%, we're richer than a majority of the world. I'm so sick of this. Get a JOB and stop your whining, bitching, complaining and self-righteous BS.
Better yet - take a trip around the world. Go to Mexico, Haiti, Pakistan, take your pick. Get some freakin' perspective and stop acting like spoiled brats. Get off the streets and get a job. This protest crap has no direction, no focus, no agenda and absolutely NO point other than to whine. If you want to make CHANGE in this country - START WITH YOU.
It makes me so sick that our US military risk their lives so spoiled Americans can make a mockery of the Constitution."

"First, they’re attempting to show how the 53% of people in the US who pay income taxes are shouldering the burden for everyone else despite the fact that pretty much everyone pays payroll taxes, paying into the biggest government entitlements. Nobody gets off without paying taxes in one form or another, especially sales tax. The many other burdens the poor and working class face are too many to list, ranging from mass incarceration to lack of access to healthcare and decent education.
The second thing this tumblr is doing is extending the culture war into the class war. Pitting the 53% against the 99% is not really about class issues or taxes. It’s about a system of values." (source)

"Readin’, writin’ -- and revolution!
Some hippie families are toting kids to the wild Occupy Wall Street protests -- including one 13-year-old boy who carries a stack of quarters in case he has to make a jailhouse phone call and a homemade solution that washes pepper spray from the eyes.
“The people I ended up sleeping next to were druggies. Someone was trying to put a cigarette out on my face, and I had to roll over,” said the teen, Luca Rozany, who arrived at Zucotti Park after riding 12 hours with his grandfather and best childhood pal from their home in Asheville, NC.
The boy said they thought about leaving -- but because of the cops, not the junkies.
Luca showed off his arm, where a friend’s cellphone number and a Legal Aid number -- in case he needs a a lawyer -- were scrawled with permanent marker.
“He’s learning life lessons,’’ said his grandfather, 73, who goes by the name Weezel.
“His mother is an activist; his grandparents are activists. His grandmother has been arrested many times. He’s well equipped to deal with this..." (source)

"Flames lit up downtown Cairo, where massive clashes raged Sunday, drawing Christians angry over a recent church attack, Muslims and Egyptian security forces. At least 24 people were killed and more than 200 injured in the worst sectarian violence since the uprising that ousted Hosni Mubarak in February.
Christians, who make up about 10 percent of Egypt's 80 million people, blame the country's ruling military council for being too lenient on those behind a spate of anti-Christian attacks since Mubarak's ouster. As Egypt undergoes a chaotic power transition and security vacuum in the wake of the uprising, the Coptic Christian minority is particularly worried about the show of force by ultraconservative Islamists...."
