Today's Sign that the Apocalypse is Upon Us

The down slope of personal responsibility tips a little further. This time in our South American neighbors’ courts. A Brazilian judge ordered McDonalds to compensate a former employee $17,500 because they failed to stop him from stuffing his face on a daily basis for 12 years. They made him gain 65 pounds- requiring him to eat the most calorie laden choices from the menu…

Well, maybe they didn’t force him, but they encouraged him… No? Well you have to acknowledge the immense pressures that a top teir restaurant like McDonald places on its managers to ensure quality, right?

Oh my…

Turns out this guy felt that he had to sample the products several times a day to ensure quality. Don’t you take a bite out of every burger that comes off your grill at home to ensure quality for your guests? I know I do.

He also stated that McDonald’s gives employees free lunch, and this increased his caloric intake… Really? Free lunch = increased calories? Hmmm… Wikipedia says: “McDonald's first introduced salads to its menu in 1985.”

McDonald’s response is that they are “weighing their options.” [source] Pun intended? Well said.
