Democrats are Getting Out of the Kitchen

Who do we know is bailing thus far?

  • 5 term Senator Chris Dodd deciding to skip a 6th bid for re-election

  • Senator Byron Dorgan from North Dakota (elected in 1992)

  • Colorado's Governor Bill Ritter will not seek a second term

  • "...As 2009 ended, Democrats watched a string of their House members announce retirements and one congressman defect to the GOP.

Democrats, who have a 60-40 Senate majority that includes two independents who vote with them, now will have to defend four open seats in the Senate. The others are Delaware and Illinois, where Sens. Ted Kaufman, who replaced Vice President Joe Biden, and Roland Burris, who replaced Obama, aren't running for full terms.

Among governors, Democrats are seeking to maintain their 26-24 majority in a year when those elected will oversee the redrawing of congressional and legislative districts for the next decade." (source)

I love when non-Presidential voting years are just as exciting... And who am I gunning for? Patrick Murphy. He uses his military service to promote himself (first OIF Veteran to serve in Congress) and then accepts money...along with other things that have annoyed me (which I want to double source before I publish). Sorry Army Girl, I know you're friends with him...but I think you've been duped...again. What military member earns a D with the NRA and 100% with NARAL? A little backwards there Patrick. Hope you had fun playing b-ball with Obama...because if the Tea Party movement in your area is an indication of your fate --you're going down!
