I HAVE Been Letting Racism Effect My Coverage of The President.

"Sorry to say this, I don't think [Donovan McNabb] has been that good from the get-go," [Rush] Limbaugh said. "I think that what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a Black quarterback do well. There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team." (source)

Remember this 2003 "controversy?" Well, I think we might just have a repeat of the Donovan McNabb syndrome going on here.

Over the weekend the more I thought about the accusations of racism...the more it hit me that if it were Howard Dean or some other white dude with Obama&'s connections and Obama's spending and Obama's apologies abroad, he would be getting eviscerated in the MSM as well as the blogosphere.

I'm quite sure signs and slogans brandished at tea parties and town hall meetings get TEMPERED because the president is half African American...

I know I've been easier on him because he's Black ...because I'm NOT RACIST and I don't want the first Black President to be a total failure even if he is a a Marxist Lib... And, of course, I know that harsh criticism will be deemed racist...

So there. I admit it. I have (and will probably continue) treated Barack Obama different than I would an all White President.
