So Long Suckers!

I am officially on vacation. This is a pre-recorded message as I am on the beach and WWW-free (well, aside from my Blackberry...).

I dug up some guest posts and thoughts from other sites for the week...starting with J. Marquis (unbeknownst to him...)

Guest Post by J.Marquis... And Some Thoughts by Me

"How Could This Have Happened?"

"...That's what everybody in the country will be saying
the day after some right-wing lunatic attacks the

I guess I overestimated the white people in this country.
Apparently a lot of us are still filled with hate and
racism. It's just been simmering below the surface for
a while..but now that there's a black guy in the White
House it's "time to take our country back".

I hope I'm wrong and nothing happens to Obama. But if it
does, be prepared for something worse than a civil war.
It will be a civil fracture and I'm not sure the
country would survive it..."

Now, I am assuming that J. was referring to the man that showed up with an assault riffle at an Obama event, the Obama as Hitler poster and the Obama-Joker picture... All of which the MSM heralded as "Racism by extremists" at Townhall meetings. By now everyone should know that the Joker pic was created by a Dennis Kucinich supporter (he doesn't think O! is left enough), the Hitler sign was held by a hired labor union guy and the "racist white guy with the rifle" was actually...a Black man that holds dear the 2nd Amendment. Funny how the MSM cropped out his head to make the story fit their purpose.

So, they need to make a 24 hour news cycle by cropping photos and implying that very legitimate outrage over Cap & Trade and Socialized meds (people were just as against Hillary-care) just boils down to racism. Funny how this is okay to do, but when I say Obama only won because of SEXISM people get ruffled.

Anyway, I looked for a retraction on J.'s site, but none was to be found.

Plame-Gate: Part Deux...Enter the ACLU

Back in March of 2007 I wrote, "I have a certain obsession with the [Valerie] Plame/Wilson debacle..." I still do! I don't know what it was/is about that story that compelled me to follow all the twists and turns it took. I guess the fact that it had it all: political retribution, fake "public" outrage, a D.C. couple, a witch hunt and finally a jail sentence for Scooter Libby on an unrelated charge...and no Fitzmas for the libs.

Back when all this was going on there were a few Dems that tried to claim the anger wasn't manufactured--and claimed that they actually believed Plame was a covert operative and not just a Langley secretary. They were "shocked" that a CIA spook could be outed and put in jeopardy "especially when we're at war." It would be nice to believe that were being genuine, but I think we all know it was just a political witch hunt with the ultimate goal of taking down their arch nemesis: Karl Rove.

Then yesterday I read this:

"...The Justice Department is investigating the ACLU for knowingly taking pictures of covert CIA agents at Gitmo and handing them over to known al Qaida operatives.

The ACLU's explanation is that the terrorists involved--ones who played a direct role in planning 9/11--will need the names of the U.S. officials who interrogated them in order to cry foul at trial. Never mind the fact that there is already a secure, legal process for identifying covert agents behind closed doors in a way that doesn't jeopardize national defense...' (source)

OUR agents exposed to Al the champion of privacy rights?! I want to hear EACH and EVERY person that blogged, wrote and article, made a YouTube video, or chatted at the water cooler about "the travesty" to Valerie Plame out there decrying this latest ACLU action from the rooftops.

Back in the Plame days the DU posters were saying anyone that outs a CIA agent should be indicted for treason...but I just did a search over there and nary a word is found about this CIA outing (of actual undercover agents).

What is happening to my country?!

What is the "Kennedy Legacy?"

...besides being rich, and famous.

During his coverage of the Kennedy procession to Boston yesterday, FNC's Shepard Smith implied that Americans should turn a blind eye to the embarrassing power grab about to happen in Massachusetts. What reason did good old Shep give? Teddy often visited people in the hospital and prayed for them without alerting the press of his altruistic actions. Are you kidding me? We should reverse a law that he wanted changed in the first place because he did nice things every once in a while?

A few days ago a friend of mine was remarking that her parents had never put much value or thought into money...but, here's the thing, they always had money. A lot of it actually. It's easy to claim money is trivial if you have it. It's easy to spend time being altruistic when you aren't living paycheck to paycheck. Is it really such a celebratory thing when Oprah, Angelina Jolie or any of the Kennedys do something for charity...? What else do they have to do with their time? It isn't costing them anything but time...

I was thinking I was going to acknowledge the many years of service Teddy gave... He was rich and didn't have to work. He didn't have to clean up his act (for the most part) and fight for causes he believed in. A part of me ruffles at congratulating someone for things they should do...

It's also hard to try to shed light on some positive things Teddy did when his "dying wish" (with the dementia involved with the last days of a brain tumor, could he have actually written this) is a laughably partisan power grab? Not that any of it should be surprising...have you ever read how Joe Kennedy ensured JFK got his Senate seat...?

When Talking Points Collide: The Juxtaposition of Teddy & Dubya

When the Left is listing the components of "Bush's deficit", the prescription drug plan is in the list of things they rattle off. But when paying homage to the "political legend and legacy" of Edward Kennedy, his "behind the scenes bi-partisan work" to get the aforementioned prescription drug bill passed is heralded.

All day yesterday I was hearing both. This is a serious blip...aka "When talking points collide." When Democrats are looking to list things Bush did to get us into debt, that RX plan is mentioned. Never mind that Obama campaigned on the promise of a balanced budget (pshaw!) but when listing all the bills Teddy worked on the RX bill is also there. DO I need to be the one to point this out to Howard Dean? Isn't it his job to make sure the talking points jive?

What prompted me to write about it was when it came up used both ways in the same show and the same half hour. What a perfect YouTube video to blatantly show what we've all been saying for years...if the right does's bad, but if the left were the's glorious. Unfortunately, I don't have DVR or TEVO. Oh well, I'd be preaching to the choir anyway...

Universal Healthcare Part 9,322

Another snapshot of what might be to coming to a hospital near you...courtesy of Obamacare and crappy bureaucracy...

"After weeks of excruciating pain, Mark Wattson was understandably relieved to have his appendix taken out. Doctors told him the operation was a success and he was sent home. But only a month later the 35-year-old collapsed in agony and had to be taken back to Great Western Hospital.

To his shock, surgeons from the same team told him that not only was his appendix still inside him, but it had ruptured - a potentially fatal complication. In a second operation it was finally removed, leaving Mr Wattson fearing another organ might have been taken out during the first procedure.

The blunder has left Mr Wattson jobless, as bosses at the shop where he worked did not believe his story and sacked him. (source)

I realize the stories can go both ways (people here screwed because of pre-existing conditions, etc.), but I will always err on the side of less government.

Organized Labor's Seat at Obama's Table

Monday Denis Hughes, the New York state AFL-CIO president, was appointed as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

"...It is believed to be the first time that a union boss has been named chairman of a Federal Reserve bank.

Hughes’ chairmanship comes after the Union Auto Workers gained both a seat on the General Motors’ board and a large ownership stake in the re-organized auto giant..." (source)

This scares me.

Extreme Baby Mamma Drama

Strange. This woman cared enough about her kids to breastfeed...yet laced the milk she pumped with morphine to get the baby daddy to hang around?

"...A 25-year-old former medical assistant on probation for a similar crime laced her breast milk with morphine and fed it to her 2-month-old daughter in an effort to attract the attention of the child's father, authorities alleged Thursday.

Sarah Rose Dillard-Lubin, of Aloha, was on probation from California for feeding her son, who was 10 months old at the time, two opiate pills, officials said.

Both children survived.

In both cases, Dillard-Lubin was trying to attract the attention of the child's father — a different man in each case, said Sgt. David Thompson of the Washington County sheriff's office.

Dillard-Lubin was indicted Wednesday. She pleaded not guilty to assault charges on Thursday, said her lawyer, Dean Smith. He said he could not comment further... (Read the whole story)

I have yet to meet the man that would be worth harming my children for...

Porn Industry Should Set a Better Example...?

"...An AIDS advocacy group filed complaints against 16 adult-film studios in California on Thursday, accusing them of violating state workplace safety rules by failing to require porn actors to wear condoms.

The complaints, submitted along with five dozen DVD copies of pornographic films produced by the companies as evidence, formally call on the state's Division of Occupational Safety and Health to conduct an inquiry..." (source)

I'm sure there are many young DAs out there that are clamoring to do the research for this case...

Seriously though, I know I blogged about this a long time ago, but I am still appalled at how many 20-somethings don't use condoms. The happenings in the porn industry are probably reflective of what's going on in the dating world. "...But he says he doesn't like to wear one..."

...And We're Talking About Shorts?

"There's been a big fuss this week because Michelle Obama wore shorts. She's worn shorts before - to walk the dog, do stuff around the White House. But the photos of her wearing them in that iconic descending-from-Air-Force-One-onto-the-tarmac setting proved too much for the media. Obamas? Check. Summer news doldrums? Check. Controversy? Close enough. It was a story.

And people reacted. The Today Show's poll on whether she should have shown that much thigh got one of the show's biggest responses ever, with 83% pro-shorts. Local papers found "experts" to discuss the implications of the shorts for the Obama White House, international papers analyzed what it said about American culture, the blogosphere took up every angle from what this said about the objectification of women to the taxonomy of the shorts: Hot pants? Cutoffs? Booty Shorts? (See pictures of Michelle Obama's style evolution.)

Then, just as vehemently, there was a big fuss over the big fuss. Many people were given to observe that there were more important things to talk about. Several commentators pointed out that, in fact, the conflict was fake; nobody had come out, on the record, as being against the shorts.

But the truth is there was a conflict..." (source)

Now, the article goes on to say that people are upset because Michelle just doesn't look all that good in shorts and it was wrecking the public's view of her as a fashion icon. Good Lord. Being that I think she usually looks like Maria made her dress from the Von Trapp curtains, I had a different reaction...

Of course this will be taken as a racist sentiment AND IT'S NOT. I think the Obama's are trying to play act as if they were every day people (they made 44 million in 2008, so in actuality they are light years away from the common folk), but as they attempt to make themselves seem accessible to the American public...they are lowering the status/class of the office of the President. Personally, I don't want to think the President is a common man...I see common men around all the time and I pray my President is a bit more elevated than they. I don't want him wearing jeans and drinking Budweiser. I don't want his wife looking like she's ready to clean the garage.

Then again, I hate when men wear hats in restaurants too. I like etiquette, tradition and I love all the pomp and circumstance that surrounds the office of the president and the first lady. Jackie O would have never been caught dead in rumpled shorts and slicked back hair (and the hair should have been the issue, not the shorts).

So do I think showing leg is the issue? No, but I do take issue with the couple's relaxed attitude when it comes to their positions.

Hillary's "Outburst" - A Political Issue or a Gender Issue?

I can't help but notice that, much like the teachers molesting teenage boys debate, this "controversy" seems to be split right down gender (as opposed to political) lines.

Women, well THIS WOMAN anyway, knew exactly how Hillary was feeling as she fielded yet another question about Bill (mistakenly interpreted or not).

Men have NO IDEA how it feels to be reduced to "so and so's wife." I can't tell you how many times I've stood there at the mechanic's for my car and he either looks past me to talk to The Man or calls The Man with me right in front of him to discuss the problem... Ugh! We've all gone though this to some degree and our husbands weren't ever the leader of the free I feel her pain when it comes to this.

It's an estrogen wouldn't understand.

Sweet Clunker...

The Cash for Clunkers program, though a success with the crowd that could have afforded a new car regardless of the $4,500 incentive, is fizzling as dealers claim Obama just isn't paying up...

There have been a plethora of related stories out there since the inception of this "stimulus program," like the hit-and-run car dumped as a clunker, bike shops offering bike-clunker cash and Americans split over whether this is an incentive at all... But, the best story I've heard is the guy that turned in his mint condition Maserati BiTurbo (only 18,000 miles!!!!) for a Subaru Impreza.

"...A Colorado car dealer got a shock when a man drove in with a trade in the cash-for- clunkers program, a 1985 Maserati BiTurbo.

The car is in almost pristine condition, KUSA-TV, Denver, reported. There are only 18,480 miles on the odometer.

While the Italian sports car stands out among the battered trucks and SUVs other people have brought to Go Subaru in Golden, it qualified under the program. The owner got a $3,500 rebate on a new Subaru Impreza..." (source)

Meghan McCain: Real Conservatives Think YOU'RE Creepy.

Meghan McCain is still out there trying to convince Republicans to be more liberal to attract younger voters... She is going on left wing show (The View and Bill Maher) and writing for left-wing publications (HuffPo)...and I thought this article in the Post was spot on:

"... Not once does [Meghan McCain] offer up any substance on policy. She never weighs in on the health care debate, fiscal responsibility, or Hillary's African outburst. She never quite explains why she is a Republican, only why she hates them. Something tells me she doesn't really know.

Pundits, unfortunately, aren't elected. It's the media -- hardly a sympathetic voice -- who decides that Meghan McCain is a legitimate Republican voice. She's not. She's the sales girl at Top Shop, imbecilic, catty and naive.

Meghan, they're using you to make the GOP look broken and stupid; and I can only imagine you're using them for fame. But please, if you do care about your father's party, stop.

You've gotten swept into deep waters, and you're only going to drown the rest of us, too..." (Read the entire article)

Here's the latest embarrassment for Meghan (or what should be) --she has an entire article addressing how "creepy" it is that Karl Rove is following her on twitter. The first line of the article: "Karl Rove follows me on Twitter. That’s creepy."

Karl Rove is following me on Twitter too. I'm pretty sure his people just have him follow anyone that follows him. I doubt Karl give a crap about Meghan's vapid Tweets...and likewise, I doubt that he is waiting with bated breath for my blog updates either...

I wish Meaghan and I could chat face to face--and I could let her know how much she is hurting "her party" and what a gift she's handing to the left. I feel like I could get through to her --even though Coulter, Malkin and Ingraham have all failed... I genuinely think she wants to help, but I think she needs to start by deciding what about her ideology (not her pedigree) makes her a Republican...

Michael Vick, Death Panels and Litigious Americans

There are so many things whirling around in my head these days...which is the primary reason I started this site FIVE (can you believe it?) years ago. The sad fact that I haven't had time to blog and get these things out of my head and on to "paper" has given renewed life to my insomnia, subsequent exhaustion and an unfortunate general malaise...I thought if I at least jotted a few thoughts it might help.

First and foremost we have some Philly business to discuss: Michael Vick and The Eagles... People here were going insane last night... Truthfully, I can't say I care too much. I don't understand why people can't comprehend the simple fact that men who get paid to be Peter Pan (making millions to play a game and never grow up) are going to act like overgrown, spoiled children. Think of all the things professional athletes have been accused of...murder, rape, adultery, robbery, drugs, alcoholism and general mayhem. They are millionaire ID's. I'm not saying I didn't want to throw him into a ring of pit bulls when I saw pictures of his dogs, but is fighting pit bulls any worse than the other stuff? So if Andy Reed thinks bringing yet another thug to Philly will secure a ring...I say what's the difference? We've had Iverson and TO...what's another athletic hoodlum to add to the roster?

And as for the ongoing debate over "health care reform." (Isn't that terminology annoying --the RIGHT has been begging for tort reform for YEARS, but all of a sudden we're against "HC reform" ? Uh, no, we're against the "public option.")

I have two things.

First, the furor in the Left'osphere when Sarah Palin talked about the "death panels." So many of the Leftwing blogs were calling her a "bold faced liar." Now, I'm not 100% sure if the anger was genuine but here's the thing: They may not being proposed as death meetings --or even intended to be such. I think Sarah Palin and others are nervous about what they could evolve into. I doubt the brainchild of the welfare system envisioned recipients purchasing cigarettes and alcohol with taxpayer dollars (which is perfectly legal here in PA) or the Union pioneers imagined thugs slashing the tires of hard-working independents. Anything the government touches morphs into the worst possible version of itself...hence the "death panels."

Second, I have already mentioned the absolute folly of talking about health care reform without addressing the fact that litigation has replaced work ethics in this country. The same sittin'-on-the-couch-all-day people that are calling 1-800-LEGAL-ME for a scratch they got on the elevator door of their doctor's building that got infected when they cut their coke too close to it will be the people utilizing the public option and do you think that because they have free health care they'll change they're litigious ways?! NO! They are probably already have free health care through Medicaid and they will continue to sue and drive up malpractice and insurance costs --which, in a PUBLIC OPTION will be handled by the government (aka the TAX PAYER) See, right now the evil insurance companies are carrying the burden of the "I'll sue instead of work" crowd, but with will be ME AND YOU that pay for their flat screens...

On that note, have a great weekend all...

DNC Plants and HuffPo Shills

The other day I said, "And my opinion, having been a part of the pro-life movement most of my life, is the kooks, people with swastikas and violent people are most likely plants from the left for the news cameras..."

And now the story breaks about the man with the Obama as Hitler poster at the Dingell town hall...being a Dingell supporter and, yes, a DNC plant.

Chris Savage at HuffPo couldn't wait to race home and post pictures of the crazy "right winger" with the Hitler Sign that was "foreshadowing of what was to come" inside the meeting... But, worse than that, read this paragraph from his piece:

"Did you even read the bill? I honestly couldn't believe they actually asked that. They asked the man that has been instrumental in writing legislation like this for over fifty years if he had read the bill he himself helped to write." (source)

He can't believe they asked that? I can't believe he wrote that. Imagine, constituents assuming their elected officials didn't read a bill they were promoting...whatever would give them that idea?!

And now that it turns out that this sign was made and paid for by a group that is promoting a "Single-payer Option"...have we seen a retraction from HuffPo? No way, they are shilling for the government over there... Listen to some of the headlines just from today:

"...John Edwards has secretly undergone a DNA test - and it proves he's the father of his mistress' love child, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

Multiple sources confirm the bombshell development, and reveal lawyers for the disgraced presidential candidate are privately hammering out child support payments with his former lover Rielle Hunter.

Edwards - who hotly denied he was the child's father when he publicly confessed his affair with Rielle on ABC's Nightline a year ago - has broken the news to his cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth, sources say.

But The ENQUIRER has also learned that Rielle testified against Edwards before a federal grand jury that's probing whether he broke campaign finance laws by secretly funneling money to her - and her testimony could send the former North Carolina senator to jail!

The positive DNA test finally ends the elaborate cover-up that Edwards engineered to hide the fact that he fathered Rielle's 18-month-old daughter Frances..." (source)

After Elizabeth Edwards' embarrassing media tour...I can't even feel sorry for her anymore...Edwards makes Mark Sanford look like the desirable husband.

Credit Where Credit is Due

Arlen Specter showed up in Lebanon, PA to face another hostile crowd. Not lobbyists or paid drones of the insurance companies, but people that have used forums and the blogs to COMMUNITY ORGANIZE, show up and speak their concerns.

I give Senator Specter props for showing up knowing what he would be facing, taking all the questions he did and even (at times) repeating hard questions for the rest of the audience to hear instead of rolling over them. He is facing his constituents while other Congressmen and women are punking out...

Truthfully, I felt a little teary watching the back and forth. I can't fathom Nancy Pelosi describing health care reform detractors "Un-American." THIS is as American as it gets! Dissent, discussion, debate! A Government of the people, for the people, and by the people! And my opinion, having been a part of the pro-life movement most of my life, is the kooks, people with swastikas and violent people are most likely plants from the left for news cameras...

Here has what Arlen Specter has pledged thus far:

He will not support a bill that:

-Increases the national debt.
-Allows illegal aliens access to free health care by way of a tax-funded, single payer system.
-Gives the Government access to the bank accounts of private citizens.
-Charges a 2% tax on citizens that opt for "unacceptable coverage." (He said this is "too vague" to have his support)

...he also claims that because of the Hyde Amendment none of the health care bills could include public-funded abortions.

So we'll see if Arlen keeps his promises... And we'll see how many other Senators and Representatives venture into their local lion's dens.

Brainwashed Americans

No, this isn't another post about Socialized medicine, the thought police or the extent of b.s. The Obamatrons will attempt to justify his actions (Obamapoligists....?)

It's about yet another issue where Americans are often misguided and immature...and full of justifications for being so. And it's a subject that is close to my heart...literally.

For decades (centuries even) plastic kitchens, fake vacuums and china tea sets have been bestowed upon little girls encouraging them to emulate their mothers. Along with the aforemtioned accoutrements, little girls tote around baby dolls that suck from BPA-laden bottles, pee in potties and burp...once again, emulating mom.

But now that the Spanish have finally addressed the fact that many mothers (myself included) have never given their babies a bottle and created a breastfeeding baby doll....people are offended...disgusted even!?

I don't get it. EVERY formula bottle says right on it's label that breastfeeding is the if we're having our little girls emulate us, why would we have them play at second best?

People are saying the doll is "over-sexualizing young girls"... OMG, can anyone really be this dumb? ADULTS sexualize breastfeeding--that's why people have a problem with ANY breastfeeding-real or simulated. Children see it for what it is: EATING. This doll might instill at an early age that it ISN'T sexual--and that (surprise, surprise) that's what boobs are for!

If you don't want to breastfeed-that's fine...and if you want to keep to the status quo and buy the doll with the bottle...that's perfectly okay with me too. So why is it those of us that do the better/natural/intended thing get hassle and attitude?!

Obama's White House Dwelling on Semantics

"...It's official. The U.S. is no longer engaged in a "war on terrorism." Neither is it fighting "jihadists" or in a "global war."

President Obama's top homeland security and counterterrorism official took all three terms off the table of acceptable words inside the White House during a speech Thursday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington think tank.

"The President does not describe this as a 'war on terrorism,'" said John Brennan, head of the White House homeland security office, who outlined a "new way of seeing" the fight against terrorism.

The only terminology that Mr. Brennan said the administration is using is that the U.S. is "at war with al Qaeda." (source)

It's official. This president panders to the world community more than the Clintons pandered to polls...

I'm happy that (although annoying) this is just lip service for the far left kooks. With Osama's son and a top Taliban TERRORISTS both killed by predator drones, no change in the Secretary of Defense and terrorists still being detained indefinitely...we see that once Obama learned the real deal he changed his stump speech lip service and for the most part kept all the the Bush/Rove/Cheney/Rumsfeld policies intact.

Orwellian Post at

"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to" (

Can you even imagine if Bush had said this?!!?? If someone emails you disinformation about the Iraq war and WMD, please forward their email to Karl and I over at the Oval Office...??!!? Are you serious?

I'm at a loss here.

I know you will be tempted to think that this statement came straight out of 1984, but in fact it's from a White House page addressing health care concerns called: Facts Are Stubborn Things.

Funny they should choose that title when talking about health care...

...Because here is a clip of Obama saying that "single payer health care is what I'd like to see, but first we have to take back the White House and the Congress..." in June of 2008. There's also one from August 2008 in which Obama imparts his view that a single-payer health care plan is the IDEAL. One that he would create if he could start from scratch...

And here is one from just a month ago when Obama contends that he "is not for a single payer system in the US."

Yes O, facts (and video footage) are stubborn things!

I wonder if someone will send this post to

"Medicare is Broke, Medicaid is Broke..."

"The Republicans and their allied groups — desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill — are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country," [DNC spokesman Brad] Woodhouse said in a statement. (source)

This is when the sport of politics gets tiresome for me. They KNOW this is not a lobby-funded movement. They KNOW that the point of this AND the tea parties is to rebuke the politicians (left and right) --not take direction from them...

But worse than this disingenuous statement from the DNC is the leaked memo and repetitive talking point of demonizing the insurance companies. Look, I am no fan of the insurance companies (my biggest beef with them is that they settle instead of fighting the trial lawyers and give the frivolous lawsuits merit), but it is ABSURD to have a discussion about health care reform without addressing tort reform. It is the frivolous lawsuits (as evidenced by the barrage of ambulance-chaser commercials on free, daytime TV aimed at the out-of-work set). Because of the litigious nature of the growing contingent of Americans that have somehow been ingrained with a sickening sense of entitlement, health care has carried the burden and now we're supposed to have an honest conversation...but the lawyer lobby has made that off limits?!

I am neither a lobbyist or an agent of the RNC, and I urge you all to find an attend a townhall meeting about health care (and Cap & Trade) in your area (especially if you have a Blue Dog representative)!

Where's the Ruckus?!

Please excuse my unannounced absence...I currently have a wound-that-warranted-an-emergency-room-visit and it really, really hurts to type...

Regardless of the throbbing pain, I had to comment about the glaring lack of outrage over the Free Market Warrior ousting from the Concord Mills outlet mall in North Carolina (of all places!) (Read the whole story here).

It's hard to begrudge someone a t-shirt that says, "No to Osama, Obama and Chelsea’s mama!" when Spencer's is sporting infant onesies that read "made in vagina" and "Little man - Big dick". But Simon Properties felt that the former was much more offensive than the latter...

You would not believe how many properties this company owns! If ALL conservatives, libertarians and lovers of freedom refused to shop at these malls, SIMON PROPERTIES would be forced to take a hard look at what they have done... I realize this is a private company and they have the right to pick and choose who they give contracts to...but WE also have the right to choose where we spend our hard-earned dollars. Then again, if you can't pick and choose based on RACE or RELIGION or GENDER...can you pick and choose based on political affiliation?!

This is going to require a HUGE sacrifice for me as I just discovered that the local strip mall that I walk to almost every day (my supermarket, Saladworks and Rite Aid!!!) is managed (though not owned) by Simon Properties. Damn. Find all the Simon Properties near you.

Simon Properties owner, Melvin Simon, is a HUGE Barack Obama & DNC supporter. If you may recall, Simon Properties owned the mall that cancelled the Atlanta Tea Party... (They're also the greedy wankers that had gift cards expire at their malls...)

You can quote me on this...I would be writing the same post if this guy sold all 'Bush is an Idiot' gear. THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME AND THE LEFT! I ACTUALLY believe in freedom and free speech and dissent!

Wake up people!
