Obama is Brilliant: Part II
A few days ago, when it finally dawned on me that Obama was craftily solving our immigration dilemma on the DL, there was something I was still overlooking about our President...
Not only is he eliminating any desire to risk life and limb to come to this country, but it totally escaped me that he was also resolving the Social Security issue.
My generation was pretty much resigned to the fact that the Baby Boomers were going to wipe out any chance of SSI. People live too long now (many times artificially and on the taxpayer's dime) and the Baby Boomers didn't have enough kids to cover themselves (it takes 1.5 people per person).
BUT, the introduction of Obamacare could ensure the longevity of SSI. Rationing of drugs and care (those pesky red pills and blue pills), denial of second opinions, long waits for elective and life-saving surgeries, and mandatory "death meetings" (aka End of Life Counseling pgs. 425, 426) after the age of 65 will all help in shortening recently prolonged life spans.
...Therefore preserving SSI for those Darwin intended to have it.
Once again, Brilliant!
