I Hate to Agree...

...but I do.

Eighth US Circuit Court of Appeals: "We recognize that lines have to be drawn, and we choose to draw the line in such a way as to give the maximum possible protection to speech, which is protected by the express words of the Constitution."

"We conclude that [the Westboro Baptist Church] is likely to prove any interest the state has in protecting funeral mourners from unwanted speech is outweighed by the First Amendment right to free speech." (source)

As heinous as Reverend Fred Phelps(D) and his "church" (aka children) are, we must not be tempted to strip away the freedom of speech.

...That being said, I hope the Patriot Guard Riders continue to act as guardian angels for the families of these fallen soldiers and marines and shield the families from the hateful messages the Westboro Baptist Church continues to display!

"If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." ~George Washington

Would ANY Criticism Be Legit?

Could conservatives say anything in regard to Obama's decisions during his time in office that wouldn't be perceived as racist? This facebook page really got me in a bad mood this morning. Obama has made quite a few radical decisions since he's been in office and many have been scrutinized by his own party. How far into the Presidency do we have to get before complaints become valid? Should I post the picture of me walking door to door with Lynn Swann each time I levy a criticism at our new CIC...has it come to that?

From a fairly new Facebook group called BOYCOTT FOX NEWS!!!!!!!!!!:

...so incredibly frustrating.

Men...as Faithful as Their Options?

I know, I know, I just said I don't have time to be here in front of this screen...but the baby is sleeping and I am watching this Mark Sanford press conference and finding it hard not to cry.

I know women cheat too, but...

Do men have any idea what damage they cause when they do this?

Sanford could have had it all. I just don't get that. I'll never get it.

Not to be crass but if you close your eyes...I imagine one is pretty much the same as the other. A bit of strange was more enticing than the Oval Office?! Why destroy your life and the lives of all those around you? The person your cheating with will one day become just as annoying as the one you're about to destroy...

Maybe someday I'll eat my words and offer up all the hollow justifications that others do...but right now my opinion is to watch a few episodes of Intervention before you decide to stray. 99% of addictions start with a parental divorce/infidelity...

Time Constraints and Current Events

Can I just start out by asking...how the hell is there a such thing as a "mommy blogger!?" Now that the baby is almost 9 months old, and no longer a lump, I don't have time to breathe...let alone maintain an online persona... Now that I am reminded how much work an infant is--I am thinking "mommy bloggers" might be a good starting point for bored DHS workers...

But I digress.

My lack of posting has been making me feel incredibly guilty-which is insane I know. With the baby trying to walk everywhere, the boys home from school and the never-ending projects at our house (biggest one of finishing the old stone basement for the older two is thankfully about a week or two from completion) I need about 4 more hours in the day. ...If I could dictate to the blog everything would be good as I walk around ranting to myself all day anyway...it's just finding a moment to SIT in front of the computer...

Right now I am multi-tasking--typing this as I pedal furiously, but get nowhere on my stationary bike. A metaphor for my life lately I think...

Aside from no time (I used to do posts at night when the kids went to bed, but now that time is rightfully spent with The Man), I haven't really felt compelled to write about anything...which is unusual.

Everyone knows how I feel about "single payer healthcare" aka a "public option" --and people don''t seem to care what the founding fathers thought of it (did you know they wanted to make socialism/communism outlawed by the Constitution!?) But maybe Roe V. Wade will come back to bite them in the ass...

As for Iran, truthfully, I don't know what to think. At first I was annoyed that the Right was practicing in the manufactured indignation I so often accuse the left of engaging in. I had no issue with Obama's response (eh, I hate even saying that) and I thought the admonishments from the GOP were just partisan blathering. I mean Mousavi is pretty much as bad as Ahmadinejad --and both were hand-picked by the Mullah's anyway. Though...now that the people seem to want top ditch the entire theocracy, well that's a bit more interesting (but still not compelling enough for even ONE of our soldiers/marines to die IMO).

So there isn't much else to say other than Jon and Kate are BOTH a-holes, right?

So, someone investigate how those feisty little mommy bloggers manage to do so much without locking their kids in a closet and take heart...America has persevered through many a misguided President and survived...

Have you found a TEA PARTY in your area yet!?

Okay, back to my motionless journey.

P.S. *I* spackled all of those drywall screws! :)

Can We Commit to a Tea Party?

I admit it... I'm a part of a seriously commitment-phobic generation. "I'll call you," I quip when the doctor's office receptionist wants to make my next appointment. "Can I let you know" when the school wants to know which committee I'll help with next year...and I've actually been toying with the idea of taking my young heathens to church --because I found one that has no membership...

But this fear of being tied down has lead to the illusion that we on the Right aren't as passionate about our country plummeting into irreparable debt and demise as they on the left were about a supposed war for oil.

The MSM and Janine Garafolo tried to frame the Tea parties as "racist events" --this is because the right was finally taking to the streets with placards --and action the left thought was owned by them. Anyone that attended a tax day tea party knows that any claim of organizing against a Black President, and not that President's ACTIONS, couldn't be further from the truth. These gatherings were in the spirit of the first tea parties...frustration over the misuse of tax payer dollars and the irresponsibility of ALL members of Congress -D's AND R's! If people stopped playing politics and actually looked at what is happening with the "stimulus package", ACORN and the census, health care, GM, Chrysler dealerships, etc, etc, etc...there would should have been mass movements from within BOTH parties.

There is another wave of Tea Parties on July 4th. Many I have read about are combining the Tea party with family picnics. I know it's asking a lot to COMMIT to something two full weeks in advance, but this is the only way we can take the power back. Not from Left to Right, but from the government to the PEOPLE.

For information on a Independence Day tea Party near you, go to ReTeaParty.com where you can find or start a Tea Party. The Philadelphia Tea Party III is even having a contest for the best sign this time... last time the "Honk if I bought you a Flat Screen" would have had my vote. :)

So GO find the Tea party in your city and COMMIT to going...and Re-Declare your independence!!!!

So NOT a Libertarian

Since I have been trying on the "Libertarian" label and prancing in front of the mirror a bit...I don't want anything to sully it up more than its abortion stance and 9/10 isolationist mentality already does...and Bill Maher could find a way to defile Hugh Heffner...

So, aside from getting annoyed that blatantly far-left maher is constantly labeled a Libertarian (I think he needs to do a bit of reading over at the Cato Institute), this clip is interesting... It elucidates the Left's growing frustration with Obama, but their reluctance to really make it His fault. After all their hero worship, the buyer's remorse seems to be a painful, confusing process for them:

(You know it's a moment of turmoil if Bill Maher is saying McCain was right about something during the campaign and that Obama needs to be a little more like GWB...)

The Blame Game

...I used to pride myself in the fact that I answered crappy emails in a civil, and even friendly, manner. I guess I have lost that trait...

Blonde Sagacity:

Your hate site fueled the rage of that idiot who killed that innocent guard at the Holocaust museum.

Aren't you proud of yourself?

You puppet.

-Neil C

...I thought it was from Shep Smith at first! ;)

You retard...the asshole that killed the security guard at the Holocaust museum was NOT a Conservative --he was a "9/11 was an Inside Job" kook (aka a lefty) Another one of his targets was The Weekly Standard magazine (a Neo-Con publication). A Conservative would never shoot up the Holocaust museum -we are the friends and defenders of Israel...it's you leftards that are the Zionist haters...
...and MY hate-fueled website? Hate fueled? *I* have never, in my entire life, written a complete stranger a shitty email...you cretin.

This was way too funny not to post... a bit of levity in the midst of a stressful America...

Voight, Youngs Cons and I Don't Want to Pay for a Train I Don't Ride

I have SO many things written down that I want to write about, but with the school year coming to an end, the baby deciding he wants to walk and wreak havoc at 8 months and a major project at our house coming to a head...I have NO time. Over the next two weeks I will try to get some things up here, and would be glad to post some GUEST POSTS should they be forth coming...(hint, hint) :)

  • In the interim you can check out the Young Cons Rap if you haven't seen it yet. Love or hate rap (I like some and hate some) this one has lyrics you'll like!

  • ..And Jon Voight's great speech (dying to know Angelina's thoughts on this) where he calls Obama "wildly radical" and a "false prophet." I know they're playing snippets on the news, but the whole speech is worth listening to...

  • Only under the Obama administration (well, maybe under a Gore Admin too) could farmers be charged for cow farts...At first read it's funny, but truly it's sad. And this on the heels of NASA's new genius study that suggests the sun has a role to play with the earths heat.

  • I have a new mission...to educate people on why AMTRAK needs to be closed and shuttered...but we'll delve into the that at a later date.

  • Send any Guest post submissions to me at this email addy with "GUEST POST" in the subject line. Thanks!

    No UAW at Little Tikes

"...A classic toy car is being inducted into an auto museum in Cleveland - and it outsold every other car in the U.S. in 2008.

The [Little Tikes] Cozy Coupe, a plastic cherry-red sports car...

On Saturday, it will take its place next to historically significant automobiles at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum.

The Cozy Coupe sold 457,000 units in 2008, topping the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. In the '90s, it outsold both the Accord and Ford Taurus.

It would land in the top-20 best-selling models of all time, if considered, having sold more than 10 million units in its 30-year history..." (source)

This car puts the Prius to shame in terms of "green" factor, but I don't think that's been the key to the Cozy Coupe's prolonged success...I think the fact the UAW can't seem to get a foothold in this company may just be the reason...

...And yes, that is my little Person modeling our ancient little Coupe :)

    Surprise, Surprise...Google Blocks D-Day

As much of the country and the world remembers the HUGE sacrifices made 65 years ago on D-Day...Google celebrates 25 years of a block dropping video game. Not that I don't love Tetris as much as the next child of the 80's, but what an absolute insult to the 2,700 British, 946 Canadians and 6,603 Americans that gave their lives that day...

Downplaying it is bad enough, but honoring a GAME in its stead?!

    Was Obama The World's Destiny?

He thinks so... He found a graven image of himself in the pyramids yesterday. Now stop, it wasn't a golden calf, it was this:

"...On the wall were hieroglyphs of Qar, primitive images engraved in the stone. He was a thin man man with big ears.

“That looks like me!” exclaimed President Obama. “Look at those ears.”

The president summoned to his top aides to take a look, and repeated his observation about the Qar hieroglyph.

“Look, that’s me,” he told them. None of his senior staff was willing to disagree with the boss. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel smiled politely, if not knowingly..." (source)

It got me thinking...if it was Obama on that wall...what was the story behind it? Here is the image of the man that will single-handedly abolish Benjamin Franklin's dream of steering America clear of a strong central government and destroy 200+ years of a government of the people, for the people and by the people?

    Some Levity...

Cost of a bowl of soup at homeless shelter $0.00 dollars

Having Michelle Obama serve your soup $0.00 dollars

A homeless person who is receiving government funded meals while taking a picture of the first lady using his $ 300 Black Berry cell phone...Priceless

America is NOT a Muslim Country. In Fact...

"In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” (source)

America has (an estimated) 2.3 million Muslims out of 303,824,640 people (and we have to surmise that "jail-house converts" make up a percentage of that number --and do they really adhere to the tenets of Islam once they're sprung? ...I doubt it or there would be no recidivism.)

Pakistan has 150 million Muslims out of 172,800,048 people. THAT'S a Muslim nation.

Actually, the 2.3 Muslims in this country might be interested to know that this is not only NOT a Muslim nation, but in fact a nation modeled after Moses and the ancient Israelites...that's about as far from Muslim as you can get. Jefferson, Franklin and Adams even recommended that the official seal of the United States depict the Israelites being led through the wilderness by God's pillar of fire.

The principle characteristics of the "People's Law" in ancient Israel that were adopted by our founding fathers:

  • A commonwealth of freemen with the basic tenet "Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof." (Leviticus 25:10) This inscription appears on the American liberty bell.

  • The people were organized into small, manageable units where representatives had a voice and a vote.

  • There was emphasis on strong, local self government.

  • Code of justice based on reparation to the victim rather than fines and punishment by the commonwealth (other than first degree murder which was punishable by death).

  • Leaders were elected and new law approved by the common consent of the people.

  • Accused people were presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.(source)

  • So, maybe Obama (along with most Americans -myself included) need to revisit the writings and intentions of the founding fathers... This nation was modeled much closer to Anarchy than Sharia.

    The "New" Government Motors

I'm interested to know who paid for this ad...and what happened to the 19 BILLION dollars of OUR money they were handed by the Obama administration.

    SITREP on the Far Left

...And the MSM is abuzz over Rush Limbaugh saying that he hopes Obama's policy's fail?

Maybe they should listen to what their own people are saying:

"...We expected broken promises. But the gap between the soaring expectations that accompanied Barack Obama’s inauguration and his wretched performance is the broadest such chasm in recent historical memory. This guy makes Bill Clinton look like a paragon of integrity and follow-through.

From health care to torture to the economy to war, Obama has reneged on pledges real and implied. So timid and so owned is he that he trembles in fear of offending, of all things, the government of Turkey. Obama has officially reneged on his campaign promise to acknowledge the Armenian genocide. When a president doesn’t have the nerve to annoy the Turks, why does he bother to show up for work in the morning?

Obama is useless. Worse than that, he’s dangerous. Which is why, if he has any patriotism left after the thousands of meetings he has sat through with corporate contributors, blood-sucking lobbyists and corrupt politicians, he ought to step down now — before he drags us further into the abyss." (Emphasis mine) source)

You remember Ted Rall right? Ted Rall of "Pat Tillman was an idiot" fame? Well, this is his diatribe. In my estimation it's worse than anything Beck, Hannity, Coulter or Rush have said...but I haven't heard it reported anywhere. The MSM was all over Rall when he was feuding with Ann Coulter, but diss "O" and there will be no ink for you!

And checking in with other members of the Looney Left we see that "Man of the People" Michael Moore wants to advise the President and the UAW how to proceed after the GM bankruptcy. I notice he has no advice for the entrepreneurs that are losing THEIR OWN money (not government money or future wages)...the Suppliers and the Dealers. I take issue with almost every one of his 10 points, but let's talk about 2 in particular:

Provide tax incentives for those who travel by hybrid car or bus or train.
I have friends with hybrids and Camrys, Jettas and Saturns get better mileage. How is a tax break to the Prius fair if my Jetta out performs it?

To help pay for this, impose a two-dollar tax on every gallon of gasoline.
Is he kidding? This shows how out-of-touch with the "common man" this man is. What working class family can ever afford to go buy a hybrid? Some people (like me) have never owned a new car in their lives and you know his fat ass isn't on a bicycle...

Argue all you want about political ideology, but one thing that has been so apparent to me from a very young age is that the Left is the party of unrealistic ideals while (agree with them or not) the Right has actual plans of action.

Vigilantism We Can All Agree On I'm 100% OK With

Monday morning, here in Philly, an 11 year old little girl was brutally raped on her way to the bus stop. Brutalized so bad she needed reconstructive surgery. The sick f*** that did this threatened to kill her family of she told. He also told her he was going to do the same thing to ore children.

Luckily, he was caught on surveillance video and the 26 year old Puerto Rican male was named and a reward was offered. Jose Carrasquillo should have turned his sorry ass in.

"...After a group of teenagers noticed him in the Kensington neighborhood, a mob gathered and hit him with their fists. At least one person apparently hit him with a piece of wood.

Kris Torres, 16, told the newspaper he was one of the people who first spotted Carrasquillo. He said Carrasquillo denied the attack on the girl.

"We just pounded on him because we wanted him arrested," Torres said.

A police car drove by, possibly saving Carrasquillo's life..." (source)

My sister was wondering how the nurses at Temple Hospital could deal with having this creep as a patient... I think I would want to nurse him back to health so he could face all the boys on the inside and experience just what that little girl did...

Eric Holder Sets Voter Intimidation Precedent

A former USDOJ employee being interviewed in FNC relayed that a decision, like the one to dismiss charges against the three Black Panthers that were intimidating voters while brandishing a billy club here in Philadelphia last November, would have had to come from the top. Eric Holder. You know, the one that helped pardon Marc Rich...

"...The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he "supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews."

The Obama administration won the case last month, but moved to dismiss the charges on May 15..." (source)

See, most in the country reading/hearing about this will roll their eyes and chalk it up to the first Black president not wanting to slap the hands of the Black Panthers or something like that...but to Philadelphians this is much more.

We ALREADY deal with voter intimidation from the labor unions. It may not be as overt as pacing with a billy club while spewing a diatribe about honkies and Jews...but intimidation none-the-less. Teamsters showing up at your door with a "courtesy ride" to the polls (say "no thanks", I dare you) or the Local 19 guys surrounding a certain new little State Representative and forcing his opponents volunteers to leave...

Now what has Holder and the DOJ told Philadelphia? It's all good. You can harass and harangue people as they attempt to perform their most basic of rights and nothing will happen to you. Why?!

Why were these charges dropped? The DOJ WON the case... Why isn't there a bigger outcry? Where is the MSM? Where is the ACLU?

    Nevaeh Buchanan Still Missing

I don't know if you've read anything about little 5 year old Nevaeh Buchanan...but it seems this girl's mother didn't give her a fighting chance. I believe she's been missing for 8 days now and the "persons of interest" in this girl's disappearance?

Why, the mother's boyfriend (George Kennedy) and a friend (Roy Smith) of course. Both KNOWN sex offenders. AND, not just known by the law...the mother knew. Her excuse?

"...Both are friends of Nevaeh's mother and both are convicted sex offenders whose paroles forbid them from having contact with children or anyone who has children.

Nevaeh is 3 feet 10 inches and weighs 45 pounds. She was wearing a light-blue shirt with red and white stripes and knee-length jeans when she disappeared.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Sheriff's Office at 734-243-7070. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 for tips leading to the return of Nevaeh. Call 800-773-2587
