Rush Limbaugh VS. Michael Steele and the RNC
"...It's an elephant-on-elephant slapfest - and the White House is likely loving every minute of it.
The Republican rumble pits conservative talk icon Rush Limbaugh against new GOP boss Michael Steele in an increasingly nasty war of words.
"I would be embarrassed to say that I'm in charge of the Republican Party in the sad-sack state that it's in," railed Limbaugh yesterday, adding he "might get out the hari-kari knife" if he had Steele's job.
Limbaugh lashed out at Steele on his radio show after the party boss slapped the talk legend's style during an interview Saturday.
Steele had insisted that he - and not Limbaugh - was at the helm of the party.
"Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer," Steele said on CNN. "Rush Limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it's incendiary, yes, it's ugly."
That was enough to set off Limbaugh.
He accused Steele of being "gutless" and afraid to challenge President Obama..." (Read the whole article)
What was Steele thinking?! Did he think about the fact that Rush has an estimated 20 MILLION listeners a week? How many tune in to hear what Rush has to say as opposed to how many flip to C-Span to hear a Senator speak? Not only does Rush have the 20 million (on over 600 channels) but he has all the Rush babies. Kids like The Man's helper that were raised with their parents listening to Rush. They might not listen anymore, but they share his principles... Is the RNC's figurative head this far up its figurative ass? I don't even think Obama could pull off a $400 million dollar deal to talk for 3 hours a day considering he could only pull in approximately 38 million viewers when he was the first Black man accepting the nomination of the DNC.
I knew the MSM wouldn't get Rush's "I want Obama's policies to fail" rant, but I never imagined the powers to be at the RNC wouldn't get it either... IS there an IQ test to be in Congress...and if not, shouldn't there be?
