MSNBC Readers Grade Obama

MSNBC must be ruing the day they posted the live poll asking for readers to grade Obama's job performance thus far...They have even posted an explanation that argues that their own poll is probably crap and not reflective of how the country actually feels to explain Obama's abysmal marks.

You might remember the Pew study that found MSNBC was Obama's biggest media cheerleader in the run up to the election:

"MSNBC stood out for having less negative coverage of Obama than the press generally (14% of stories vs. 29% in the press overall) and for having more negative stories about McCain (73% of its coverage vs 57% in the press overall.)

MSNBC was more positive toward Democrats and more negative toward Republicans." (source)

And how could any of us forget Chris Matthews claiming that Obama's speech "made him cry" and "Caused a thrill to go up my leg"

Yet, even after all that positive spin...57% of MSNBC readers give Obama an "F" for his first 50 days in office.
