Just Out of Curiosity...

Has anyone ever had a company make them wait 90 days to receive Holiday pay? I realize most companies require a 3 month wait for vacation time, sick pay and benefits...but Holiday pay?!

We just became aware that The Man's [semi] new company doesn't pay holidays until after an employee's 90 day mark. The company is closed two days for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. The Man has only been there two months...which sadly translates into six unpaid days. I wish we would have known about this while he was negotiating the job/salary terms...

...and yet this company is in the Top 500 companies to work for in the United States and one of the "Best 100 Places to Work" in Pennsylvania. So maybe this is a common grinchy practice that I was just unaware of...?
