Final Thoughts?

Here are some of mine...feel free to rant/vent/share yours:

  • Did you catch McCain on SNL this weekend?

  • I was thinking yesterday that the fact that this election has not been about security at all is a HUGE (though inadvertent) vindication for President Bush. His policies have been successful enough to erase these concerns from the national debate amidst threats and troops engaged in two different countries. Hopefully McCain won't pay the price for due diligence the way Winston Churchill did...

  • I was also wondering if all those people calling for "single payer health care"/"universal health care" (or whatever they're calling it these days) have tested the waters by going to a public clinic with their family...

  • Wondering why this is only been reported on now if it was said in January:

"If somebody wants to build a coal power plant they can, it's just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted," Barack Obama said to the San Francisco Chronicle in January. (source)

  • I'm wondering...since apparently running a campaign (which B. Hussein didn't even do, his campaign manager David Plouffe did) for 19 months is now qualification for the highest job in the land...if my writing a resume (or just paying someone to do it for me) qualifies me for whatever job *I* want...?

  • Campaign line that actually gave me pause:
John McCain spent more time as a POW at the Hanoi Hilton than Barack Obama has spent in the United States Senate.
