Will the Vatican Put Their Money on the Table?

"... Pope Benedict XVI urged the nation's Roman Catholic bishops and cardinals Wednesday to support new immigrants to the United States.

"I want to encourage you and your communities to continue to welcome the immigrants who join your ranks today, to share their joys and hopes, to support them in their sorrows and trials and to help them flourish in their new home," the pope said during a prayer service at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception..." (source)

Of course everyone knows the Pontiff meant illegal immigrants, and we also know why. Membership in the Catholic church has taken a nose dive and it's Latinos that are replenishing the ranks. What I want to know is --will the vatican pledge to donate all the garish idols decorations from the church to fund these 'immigrants'? I am sure one of those huge, golden calves crosses would feed quite a few families for quite a few years. I'm sure this man is smart enough to realize that a huge part of America's fading economy is due to the weight illegals have already put on us. Will The Pope put up the Church's money to fulfill his own mandate?
