From the WSJ:
George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Gibson of ABC News weren't just criticized for their tough questioning of Barack Obama during last week's Democratic debate. They were flayed. Here's something good that would come from an Obama presidency: Take your average international bad guy who hates the USA, say, I don't know, the president of Iran or the leader of Al Queda. Loved by the press, right? You know, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The bad guys hate the USA, so the press loves them.
Now, imagine that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad pulls out some speech where he dogged the USA and President Bush. But, with Obama as president, he simply says Obama everywhere it says Bush.
What, oh what, is the press to do? What a conundrum? Do they stand by their old friend Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or their new friend Obama?
