Geno's Steaks' Employee Attacked

Two kids were harassing a Geno's counter worker (the news reports haven't said if it was regarding the "Speak English Please" sign). Another employee (former Marine Tony Chestnut) was power washing the sidewalk and must have told the two they were being obnoxious. He remember turning around and then waking up in the hospital. He suffered "broken bones, a fractured vertebra and loss of hearing, police said." (source)

Thanks to Geno's Vegas-style lights, there are pretty good images on the surveillance cameras. Crazy that the employee looks Hispanic and the attackers look like rich little white kids whose Center City liberal parents probably got all worked up about the "injustice" of a store owner requesting people speak English. Of course that's all pure conjecture, but I look forward to finding out who these little punks are.

Seems I may have been right.

Owner Joey Vento is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
