" Florida violated party rules when it moved its voting contest ahead of Feb. 5, the date sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee. The DNC allowed four early contests: Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.
While Obama, Edwards and Clinton agreed last September that they wouldn't compete for Florida because of the party- imposed penalty, Clinton, a New York senator, last week announced she would press to have Florida's delegates seated at the Democratic convention in August. Florida is a crucial swing state in the general election." (source)
Hillary not keeping her word...say it aint so! And once again Silky Pony I (Romney is now Silky Pony II) came in far, far behind...when does he drop out? Maybe today...
Most interesting story of the day (IMO):
"More than 80 attorneys who have been offering free-of-charge legal services to Guantánamo detainees issued a statement Monday supporting Democrat Barack Obama's presidential bid." (source)
"Sen. John McCain won a breakthrough triumph in the Florida Republican primary Tuesday night, edging past former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and seizing precious campaign momentum for next week's string of contests across 21 states.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was running third, and headed for the exits. Officials familiar with events said his aides were in discussions with McCain's advisers on a possible endorsement later in the week." (source)
I know there's a lot of animosity --and we all need a bit of group therapy...but McCain CAN beat Shrillary. Republicans have a shot at keeping the White House despite the Bush hatred...
Free Republic has a poll asking readers how they will vote if the nominees are McCain and Hillary. As much as you dislike McCain...imagine listening to this for four years!
