No, Islam Doesn't Treat Women Poorly...

Remember that article about Muslim converts where the women said the religion actually empowered them? I wonder if brainwashing is a violation of the Geneva Convention and civil rights... Not only do women need to be covered from head to toe in an attempt to forgo the perversion of the Muslim man, and not only are they stripped of rights and ownership, but now they're stripped of their gender and identity. In Iran "woman" is now "family"...?

"The word 'women' must now be replaced on Iranian state television by 'family', reformist Norouz news agency reports.

In programmes broadcast throughout the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women last Sunday, Iranian state TV used the world family instead.

In recent weeks, Iran's Centre for the Participation of Women changed its name to the Centre for Family Matters.

At the time of former reformist president, Mohammad Khatami, the centre was set up within the president's office.

Khatami was president of Iran from 1997 to 2005." (source)

No wonder these Imams and Sharia leaders are so vested in keeping Western influence from their women -Allah forbid they discover they are indeed equal and begin to revolt. (Like Eddie Murphy telling men that go find an Um-FoFo to marry to keep her away from American women..."Eddie, what have you done for me lately!?")
