Libby Pardon?

Okay, even if you wanted Fitzmas to come and deliver up Karl Rove with a bow more than anything in the world...it didn't. Put the Bush/Rove/Cheney/Rummy hate from your mind and realize Scooter Libby is facing a two year jail sentence --for what?

Plame wasn't undercover, which means there was no leak. Even if there was a leak someone else admitted to it. Libby was charged for lying about a leak that didn't happen or that he didn't leak -and how can you lie about something you didn't do?

Paris Hilton was driving drunk for the third time -MADD estimates someone drives drunk over 100 times before they're caught... How many people could she have killed? She got 23 days in jail. Pedophiles have gotten less than 6 months.

Bush shouldn't pardon Libby because he's part of his administration, Bush should pardon him because the charge and the sentence are bogus.

And for those that says Rush 'tows the party line', not on immigration and not on this:

"Rush Limbaugh, the most-listened-to radio host in America, is urging President Bush to exercise his pardon power now for former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, whom a federal appeals court today ruled cannot delay his 2 1/2-year prison term in the CIA leak case.

"It's time for this pardon, it really is," Limbaugh said. "I don't see how it could lower his standing in the polls."

Limbaugh said everything about the Libby prosecution and conviction seemed "senseless." (source)

And as Dick Morris pointed out --Clinton lied under oath and got no sentence... and they pardoned some real bad motor scooters, BUT that didn't stop Hillary from releasing this statement:

"Today's decision is yet another example that this Administration simply considers itself above the law. This case arose from the Administration's politicization of national security intelligence and its efforts to punish those who spoke out against its policies. Four years into the Iraq war, Americans are still living with the consequences of this White House's efforts to quell dissent. This commutation sends the clear signal that in this Administration, cronyism and ideology trump competence and justice." (source)

Hasn't she just become a crazy satire of herself...?
