In the "It Would Be Amusing If It Weren't Sad" File:

Snoop Dogg told MTV that "Imus should be kicked off the air forever". This was his justification of rappers dubbing women hos:

"...Rappers "are not talking about no collegiate basketball girls who have made it to the next level in education and sports. We're talking about ho's that's in the 'hood that ain't doing shit, that's trying to get a nigga for his money. These are two separate things."

"First of all, we ain't no old-ass white men that sit up on MSNBC going hard on black girls," Snoop Dogg told MTV. "We are rappers that have these songs coming from our minds and our souls that are relevant to what we feel. I will not let them mutha----as say we in the same league as him." (source)

Here's the thing, I kinda like Snoop...but he is much more detrimental to society because tons of kids look up to him, want to emulate him and is part of their everyday life --unlike Imus who no kid has ever heard of unless they're forced to listen to him in the car with their Grandpa...

And this is Snoop who just pleaded "no contest" to charges of "gun possession by a felon and sale or transportation of marijuana". He got "five years' probation and 800 hours of community service"...and I bet his record label didn't fore him and I doubt MTV will stop hosting him...

I think Snoop, Imus and horrible Rosie should be able to say whatever they want . When it gets wrong is when one is punished and the others are praised.
