Please Explain: Part I

If the terrorists are "misusing the name of Allah" and "not practicing true Islam" and are "not real Muslims" (these are always the justifications given when asserting Islam's "peaceful" message, right?)...

Then why does it matter that prisoners at GITMO and other detainee locations are allowed to pray 6 times a day, and have a Qur'an, and a Qur'an hammock, and Halal meats, and no pork? Why does the Red Cross and CAIR press so hard for these rights if these fundamentalists aren't "true Muslims". If they are distorting the religion so horribly, why promulgate their membership in that religion?

Isn't this a contradiction of the entire argument? Just wondering out loud...
