Level-headed, Articulate Democrat(s) Please Apply:

Republicans all over the Blogosphere have been trying to get an answer to the "Why are the Democrats and the Terror leaders celebrating the same events?" question...apparently, to no avail. No one will step up and address the question. There are just replies of "you're just bitter", "you lost the election do now you want to make us Terrorist lovers", etc.

This is not hyperbole... I sincerely want a Dem or a lib to please send a Guest post addressing the news stories to follow... Not saying anything about Republicans -as this doesn't have anything to do with us, just addressing why an American political party would ever have cheerleaders in terror groups...

Your initial reaction to these stories -If they upset you -How you rationalize it -Any introspection they've caused and if not, why...?

Here are the stories that should be absorbed and addressed:

1) The article I linked before the election in which terror group leaders expressed their hopes that the Democrats would win:

" American withdrawal from Iraq would "prove the resistance is the most important tool and that this tool works. The victory of the Iraqi revolution will mark an important step in the history of the region and in the attitude regarding the United States." Jihad Jaara said an American withdrawal would "mark the beginning of the collapse of this tyrant empire (America). "Therefore, a victory in Iraq would be a greater defeat for America than in Vietnam." (Read the Entire Article)

2) Iraqi terror leader glad Dems won and Rummy's departure is a terror dream come true:

"...In the tape, al-Muhajir praised the outcome of Tuesday's elections in which Democrats swept to power in the House and the Senate, in large part due to U.S. voter dissatisfaction over the handling of the war in Iraq.

"The American people have put their feet on the right path by ... realizing their president's betrayal in supporting Israel," the terror leader said. "So they voted for something reasonable in the last elections." He did not explain his logic..."

3) Democrats victory touted as a victory for Iran?

"Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday called U.S. President George W. Bush's defeat in congressional elections a victory for Iran..." (source)

I have a feeling this is going to go unanswered an only bring about anger and name calling. I guess to get an answer I'd have to be a lefty asking this of my fellow Dems... Maybe I should register at DU and give it a go since I REALLY do want to know...

You can read the ongoing discussion about this subject on Powerline's forum: "Are Terrorists the Democrats' Biggest Fans? The Debate Continues".

If anyone that voted Dem this time is willing to tackle this volatile subject, please email me ASAP. Thanks.
