Runway Debate Continues

Jean Paul Gaultier has made his statement about the models that were kicked off the runway in Spain for being too skinny in a very visual manner:

"German designer Karl Lagerfeld has shrugged off concerns about the fashion industry's obsession with ultra-thin models.

He says countries such as France have problems with a rise in overweight people rather than underweight." (source)

...But designers should be concerned. Not only do the grotesquely skinny bodies of the pre-pubescent looking girls they use denote either starvation or drug use to maintain zero body fat --

But, eating disorders have become much more prevalent in the US afflicted some girls as young as eight years old.
