The Vatican Caves...Again.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." (Read the entire speech)

Shouldn't a message that stresses the importance of the separation of religion and violence be embraced by a "religion of peace"? I was with the Pope for once. Then he apologized.

"...A radical Muslim group threatened a suicide attack on the Vatican yesterday even as the Holy See said Pope Benedict regretted that some Muslims were offended by his comments about the role of violence in the spread of Islam.

The pontiff "sincerely regrets that certain passages of his address could have sounded offensive to the sensitivities of the Muslim faithful, and should have been interpreted in a manner that in no way corresponds to his intentions," Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone said in a statement.

But the Pope's apology by proxy was not enough to quell a string of attacks against Christian churches on the West Bank and in Gaza. And Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood demanded a direct mea culpa from the head of the world's 1.1 billion Catholics...." (source)

Seriously, is it just me or are Muslims the whiniest people on the face of the earth? A cartoon...boohoo. A hundred year old quote...boohoo. And what do "they" always do, but go out, riot, burn stuff, make threats and kill nuns --reaffirming what everyone thinks about them to begin with.

"Muslim religious leaders in the Gaza Strip on Sunday warned Pope Benedict XVI that he must "accept" Islam if he wanted to live in peace.

The warning, the first of its kind, came as many Christians in the West Bank expressed anger over a spate of attacks on churches in protest against remarks made by the pope about the Muslims and the Prophet Muhammad." (source)

How can anyone take this crap seriously? Listen Muslims...when you stop hanging and stoning your women for letting an ankle show, when you allow women to go to school drive and vote, when you actually care about human life other than a mans --maybe we'll think you have a shred of credibility to stand on to judge someone else. Until then...you should remove the stake from your own eye.
