While commissions at the United Nations are busying themselves with banning the use of the words "Islamic terrorism" and "they" referring to Islamofacists... UN imposed deadlines are looming. After the example set by Saddam, who illustrated to the world that ignoring the UN would change nothing but the paperwork of adding resolutions, both Sudan and Iran have seen the UN for the flaccid and dysfunctional organization they truly are... Both the deadline to insert a UN peacekeeping force in Darfur and the one to halt to enriching uranium will pass with no consequence. Is anyone surprised?
And doesn’t this read like a Oil for Food, pre-Iraq war déjà vu?:
"China, a key partner in Sudan's oil industry, and Russia have both opposed attempts to impose sanctions on Sudan because of the atrocities in Darfur." (source)
What are our oil prices? ...And reiterate who is the evil empire again?
