Taliban Re-Grouping?

British journalists sat and talked with Taliban leaders on a road to Lashkar Gah (only 15 miles from a British base)... The leaders boasted they have 3,000 men fighting now and "thousands more" waiting to be called. Also that they have "hundreds" that have volunteered for Suicide bombing missions.

"Our country has been occupied by infidels,” said the commander as he sat in the shade of an apricot tree. “The Americans, the British, Canadians and others have destroyed Afghanistan. We are hunting every individual who supports this imposed democracy . . . We will also hunt the puppet Afghans who are the rented bicycle for the infidels.”

"My message to Tony Blair and the whole of Britain is, ‘Do not send your children here. We will kill them’, he told The Times by satellite telephone from a secret location. “I have between 2,500 and 3,000 (men) fighting at the moment, but I have thousands more I can call if I need them. They are in their homes waiting for my message to fight.” (source)

British military leaders claim the province security will soon be under control --and that the "support" for the Taliban there is small. It's a shame the Taliban wasn't eliminated in its entirety from the get go... This is what happens when you fight a PC war -more Americans, Brits, Canadians and civilians will die because the terrorists were spared the Daisy Cutters.... wasn't that nice of us?
