U.N. Finally Does Something Right... Then Wrong...

The thing they did right was to overwhelming vote "no-confidence" in Kofi Annan’s leadership. The problem is the vote didn't come after his 10,000 missteps as UN Secretary, but after he announced plans to completely overhaul the bureaucracy.

"U.S. Ambassador John Bolton, whose government has pushed hard for extensive reforms at the United Nations, declined comment on the staff vote but said all organizations needed to regularly review their activities to see which were better performed internally and which could be outsourced." Should Annan's proposed overhaul go through it will cost $500 MILLION dollars. Should we take a wild guess what country will be footing that bill?!

Then, they did something even more foolish... A U.N. convoy has declared that the whole West Bank/Gaza conflict is solely the fault of (who else?) the Jews --basically absolving the Palestinians of fault and naming Israel the terrorists.

"In a special report prepared for next week's annual meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission, South African lawyer John Dugard charged:

"It seems that settlers are able to terrorize Palestinians and destroy their trees and crops with impunity."

What he failed to mention, however, are the innumerable stoning, shooting and bombing attacks carried out against the Jewish settlers by the hostile Arab population surrounding them. Often those attacks are launched from the cover of olive groves and fruit orchards, prompting frustrated and threatened Israelis to take matters into their own hands." (Read the rest of the Story)
