Dauber's Geography Class

LISTEN TO THIS AUDIO (it's a bit scratchy in the beginning, but it gets cleaner) and picture your child is sitting in this class being taught every day by this 10th grade biology teacher... I know it's painful, but try to get through the whole thing...because this is what your kids will be sitting through.

"In the tape, Jay Bennish – teaching a 10th grade world geography class at Overland High School in Aurora, Colo. – called the U.S. "probably the single most violent nation on planet Earth" and described capitalism as a system "at odds with human rights."

Bennish told students Jan. 29 he found "eerie similarities" to Bush's statements in his State of the Union speech and things Adolf Hitler said, i.e., "We're the only ones who are right. Everyone else is backwards. And it's our job to conquer the world and make sure they live just like we want them to."

"Now, I'm not saying that Bush and Hitler are exactly the same," Bennish said. "Obviously, they are not. OK. But there are some eerie similarities to the tones that they use. Very, very ethnocentric. We're right. You're all wrong.

Twenty minutes of the class was recorded on an MP3 player by student Sean Allen, who can be heard at several points questioning Bennish's declarations." (source)

Okay, I admit that I almost couldn't make it through... Even his voice is whiny and annoying...not to mention that picture really is him (and not Coach's Dauber)

He is on leave right now pending investigation. (Jay at Stop the ACLU reports that he has hired someone to defend his right to teach biased, anti-American rhetoric...the ACLU. Imagine that. Only, there is no "free speech" with American tax dollars.)

A few months ago Sean Hannity asked high school/college students to start audio taping leftist rants by teachers... the more that I hear, the more discouraged I become. This is who will be teaching our kids!!!! Agghhh!!!
