Diplomatic Dispute over a Cartoon...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are 1,000's of blasphemous pictures of Jesus online, Jesus ashtrays, Bobble head Jesus dolls, Jesus stuff that's just plain silly and I've even heard there's a Jesus butt plug (how wrong is that?)...but never once have I heard even Jerry Falwell calling for a diplomatic campaign to stop it.

Not true with Muslim leaders and countries. A Danish newspaper ran 12 drawings of Muhammad that had been submitted by readers and the Muslim world was in an uproar --so much so that the United Nations (who still has yet to intervene in the Sudan and failed to call Rwanda genocide) has decided to investigate.

Egypt went so far as to "lead a diplomatic campaign against Denmark". (source) ...Over 12 drawings in an newspaper. And the rest of Europe seems to be fine with that. Can you imagine if Italy cut off relations with the United States because the Philadelphia Daily News ran an editorial cartoon making fun of the Pope?

THIS is why people say there is a war on Christianity. Anything goes when bashing the Christian God and/or Jesus...but draw 12 pictures of some 35 wife-having dude and the world comes to a screeching halt. I am really starting to realize that my children are never going to get the opportunity to see Europe. It will be too far gone when they're old enough.

Take a look at the "offending" drawings (LINK NO LONGER WORKING...CENSORSHIP PERHAPS?!)
