Things You Shouldn't Miss...

  • Sex Offenders are protesting against the growing restrictions against them in Florida. "The group calls itself the Sex Offender Support and Education Network and plans to make its position known to the Palm Bay City Council when the council votes on the proposed ordinance next month."

This is a good sign --it may mean we are finally reaching the appropriate level of protection for our children. I say weed out the boys that were busted by their girlfriend’s moms for having consensual sex with their girlfriends, then make the rest of them -the child molesters and rapists- so miserable with so many restrictions that they kill themselves. Problem solved. (Check the Registry in Your Zip Code)

  • Zoom is out of Iraq! He is currently elsewhere in Mediterranean. Some of you boys that have been through processing out of a war zone and readjusting may want to drop in and throw a line or two of advice at him... Welcome (almost home) Zoomer!

  • American Soldier was in New Orleans and he's back with pictures and his tale. AS seems like a real genuine guy and I enjoy reading his stuff. I look forward to getting his book when it's released. Oh, and speaking of troops in New Orleans...a certain someone is calling for "Our troops to be pulled out of occupied New Orleans" What?

  • The Rottweiler takes on a delicate subject (not so delicately), but one we all saw coming...the exploitation, lawsuits and people looking to use Katrina as a free ride. Also over at Six Meat Buffet, Johnny Walker Red disusses all the Federal money about to be thrown into the Gulf.
I know some people are grumbling about the cost to rebuild and saying that we shouldn't rebuild in a city that's below sea level...BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE YET! And I REALLY want to go! Now, the homes in the path of the California wildfires and mudslides that have already been rebuilt 4 or 5 times...That's a different story and I say no federal money there. But, New Orleans...hurry up!, we want to be there for our ten year anniversary!

  • The Carnival of the Recipes is up at Trub and Jeff did a great job putting it together. What looks good? Tempura-Fried Mushrooms, Sausage and Shrimp Gumbo Chicken, Shaker Applesauce, Dragon (aka Buffalo) Lasagna and Fresh Peach Cobbler. There are SO many recipes this week --make sure to go Check it out!

  • I am really happy that both the LEFT and THE RIGHT pitched in to help Katrina victims... BUT, proving my point that Republicans always give more to charity (because the left expects the government to do it) --the left raised $180,000 while the right raised: $1,347,493 Daaayum! I know, it's immature to make a contest out of it...but WE WON! ;)
