You Other Brothers Can't Deny...

It looks like advertising is finally taking a bit more realistic trend when portraying women. We don't look like the Olsen twins or Kate Moss. Some speculate that the new advertising, geared toward "real women" (the average American woman wears a size 12), was encouraged by JLo and Beyonce who are not afraid to flaunt their ass-ets.

"Nike's new ads have women bragging of behinds big enough to be "space heaters in bed," and Dove's new campaign has caused a debate over the use of "real bodies" in advertising." (source)

Truthfully, the Dove ad girls still look a lot thinner than most of the women that I see on the street, but I guess the Hollywood/Madison Avenue types that are used to looking at all the anorexic models think these girls are chunky. If I had a little girl, I would be happy to see these ads with women that look like they don't snort powdered lunches...
