Pro-Life & Pro-Death Penalty Co-Existing

During my conversation with FreeMom the other night she said something that I keep thinking about... Regarding those who question the validity of one being pro-life AND pro-death penalty. The usual argument would be --the person receiving the death penalty is a depraved killer whereas the child is innocent.
FreeMom's take went a bit deeper. The convicted killer is afforded tons of safeguards. A trial, court-appointed lawyers, countless appeals, and resources from various civil-rights groups. So can we agree that abortion CAN be legal, BUT the baby should be afforded at least what we bestow upon the dregs of society. Give each fetus a court-appointed lawyer and an ACLU action-alert to prove their innocence before their sentence in executed...
This isn't meant to provoke the age-old abortion debate...just a bit of thought...
