Carnival of the Recipes #46 is up and running at Anywhere But Here. Songstress7's Watermelon Raspberry Lemonade sounds awesome. David from Third World Country had submitted one of my favorite 'down South' breakfasts (they seem to eat this in lieu of Northern cream chipped beef) Biscuits and sausage gravy. Rocket Jones' Blueberry Lemon bread is one that I am definitely going to try... and for those adventurous mom's (or dads) out there --give the Patriotic Jell-O Cheesecake a try for the 4th. There are lots of recipes that look great --go check it out!
Grayhawk of Mudville Gazette is asking for fireworks and 4th of July celebration photos for our troops. He asks that you post them on your blog and send him the permalink --or email them to Mudville if you don't have a site. It will be running all weekend long, so get those pics and give the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan a glimpse of home!!!
Cw4BillT over at the Castle reminds us of the "Other Quagmire" and posts a letter from Bosnia --something he thinks should be re-read when we wonder why we still have troops in Iraq after two years...
G-Man has a post about The War on Terror and how it is Iraq and has included some interesting statistics about mortality rates.
CavalierX from The Guardian has brought to my attention a pledge that you can sign to say that you will stay for 7 days at the hotel to be built on Justice Souter's land! You should see how many people have signed! Pass it on! Thanks Cav! You should read his post about the Eminent Domain ruling while you're there.
In President Bush's speech the other night (that I thought was a bit slow in the beginning, but kicked ass at the end) he asked each and every American to remember and tangibly support the troops this July 4th. Click HERE to leave a message of support for our deployed military personnel!
