Shepherd's Pie: UK Style
Brown onions and add ground beef. Add garlic, Beef stock, Worcestershire & Steak sauces and veggies. Salt and Pepper to taste. Make mashed potatoes and set aside (be sure to use plenty of butter so the top gets nice crispy crust on it). Pour dry gravy mix into a bowl with one cup of cold water -mix well and add to ground beef mixture. Stir constantly until gravy thickens. Pour into baking dish and let cool. Once mixture is lukewarm, top with mashed potatoes and bake 200 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until top is browned.
(Best served with Beamish Irish Stout --but good luck finding that in the US...)
