Justice entered a drawing contest for the front of his school's student directory. The contest was for grades K - 6 to do a black and white drawing of an original dragon...
I was worried that he wanted to enter -not knowing if he'd understand when he didn't win. Well, his teacher told me today that HE WON!!! A Kindergartener! How cool is that! His picture will adorn the new directory for the next year...
(*He also won the "Most Artistic Student" award at his Pre-School graduation)
Sorry, I'll stop now...

;)
LOL...I will have to play that for him! "This S is for sucks...: haha... He is outside making his little brother be a goalie (because my mom got him a Flyers mask today for wining the contest) --I keeps hearing various yelps and cries -so i guess i should be out there monitoring instead of in here blogging!.................
make sure you play Puff the Magic Dragon for Him. the words are in my latest post.
RiceBurner:
I read it -great post. I haven't heard it in SO long...Blogger wouldn't let me post a comment...gee --wonder why it's free...LOL I agree with your premise though.
Cig: I shouldn't have let the boys watch that...they have now watched it 30 times and Justice book-marked it. LOL
Congrats to your son!
He's a genius!!
But you knew that.
Well done Justice! Do you remember Janet Reno, Justice? Well she was this lady who was the Attorney General of the U.S. and your drawing looks a little like her when she was testifying before Congress about these wacko religious nut jobs that she ordered the army to attack with tanks and then .....oh, never mind, I forget you're only 5. Very nice drawing though.
LOL, ALa, when I was setting up my blog and deciding on a sort of online identity, I was considering Trogdor, Strongbad, and Cigarette Smoking Man as the top three. They all rule... with consumate v's.
If you want some variety from just the Dragon cartoon, there's a whole list of "Strongbad Emails" here. Most of them are hilarious, and unlike South Park, about 99% of them are kid-safe.
Hey Justice,
Congratulations!! Great job!! I think that your dragon is more scary than my "dummies".
To Alpha92 -Dictated by Justice....
Pop Pop:
I got a new hockey mask and am playing with your old hockey shirt with it...and I want to say that the bloody dummies are scarier than my dragon. And I love the lake at your work and I want to tell you that I got a big bed now. Fire trucks are very cool -even cooler than my new mask.
I do alot of activities in kindergarten and I am the master when I play.
And Pop Pop, remember that time when Phinie came with us to your work...on the way back home I drew a bloody dummie and a fire dummy.
I love you Pop Pop...that's all.
Great Picture - congratulations Justice!! (and to Proud Mom too!!)
BTW - love the note to Pop Pop. Precious. Absolutely precious.
I hate 5 year old's that can draw better than me.
Yeah for Justice!!!! What a great job and what a wonderful thing to at least try! Wow! that is definitely fantastic encouragement to keep going and to know that he can be successful! Pretty damn impresive for a five year old!
Tesco -LOL, your just jealous!
